Disc 1
Mens Ice Hockey, Group A - Canada (8) v (0) Norway - Canada opened their campaign with a big win over Norway. Goals from Jarome Iginla (3), Dany Heatley (2), Michael Richards, Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry sealed the victory. Disc 2
Mens Ice Hockey, Group A - Canada (2) v (2) Switzerland - Canada remained unbeaten with a tough shootout win over the Swiss. Canada took a 2-0 lead with goals from Dany Heatley and Patrick Marleau but the Swiss fought back to tie the game. Neither team could find the winner in normal time or overtime, so the game was settled in a shootout. Sidney Crosby scored in sudden death and Martin Brodeur denied the Swiss and Canada took the win (10, Delayed broadcast without intermissions, 1 Disc, BBC - Ballard/Pope, PAL)

Mens Ice Hockey, Group A - Canada (3) v (5) USA - The big game of the tournament ended in an upset win for the USA, as they out-fought the hosts and made the most of their chances to take top spot in Group A. Goals from Brian Rafalski (2), Chris Drury, Jamie Langenbrunner and Ryan Kesler did the damage. Canada's goals came from Eric Staal, Dany Heatley and Sidney Crosby. Canada actually out-shot USA 45-23 but defensive mis-cues and dodgy goal-keeping from Martin Brodeur + great goal-keeping from Ryan Miller doomed Canada (10, No intermissions - Missing action between 19:14 and 17:40 due to BBC changing channels - No scoring missed, 1 Disc, BBC - Ballard/Pope, PAL)

Disc 4
Mens Ice Hockey, Quarter Final - Canada (7) v (3) Russia - Canada finally found their rhythm with a big win over their long-time rivals, Russia. Canada led 4-1 after the 1st period, and 6-1 in the 2nd period before the Russians made the score a little more respectable. The Canada goals came from Ryan Getzlaf, Dan Boyle, Rick Nash, Brenden Morrow, Corey Perry (2) and Shea Weber. Sidney Crosby had a quiet game for Canada (4 shots). Russia also featured Sergei Fedorov, Alexander Ovechkin, Pavel Datsyuk, Ilya Kovalchuk and Evgeni Nabokov (10, No intermissions, 1 Disc, BBC - Ballard/Pope, PAL)

Mens Ice Hockey, Semi-Final - Canada (3) v (2) Slovakia - Canada booked their place in the Gold Medal game with a tense win over a game Slovakian team. Canada started fast and held a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes left in the game but Slovakia scored 2 quick goals and then put enormous pressure on the Canadian goal in the final seconds. The Canadians held on though, and set up a re-match with the USA for the Gold Medal. The Canadian goals came from Patrick Marleau, Brenden Morrow and Ryan Getzlaf (10, Delayed broadcast without intermissions, 1 Disc, BBC - Ballard/Pope, PAL)

Mens Ice Hockey, Gold Medal Game - Canada (3) v (2) USA - Canada fulfilled their destiny, winning the Gold medal on home ice, but needed an overtime goal to do so. Canada took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd period with goals from Jonathan Toews and Corey Perry but the USA fought back with goals from Ryan Kesler and Zach Parise. Parise's goal came with only 24 seconds left in the game and forced overtime. Canada regained their composure and took the game to the USA and were rewarded when Sidney Crosby scored the match-winner to win the Gold (10, No intermissions but includes brief medal ceremony and Anthem, 2 Discs, BBC - Ballard/Pope, PAL)

Mens Snowboard Half-Pipe Final - American Shaun White won his 2nd consecutive Olympic Gold medal with 2 outstanding runs, and at the end of the 2nd run he unleashed his newest move, the Tomahawk (10, 30 minute hi-lites, 1 Disc, BBC - Leigh/Kjeldaas, PAL)

Womens Snowboard Cross - Local girl Maelle Ricker won the Gold with an easy win in the Final but was helped by a day of upsets as her biggest rivals, American Lindsey Jacobellis and Swiss Mellie Francon, crashed out before the Final (10, BBC - Leigh/Kjeldaas, PAL)

Womens Downhill Skiing - American Lindsey Vonn completed her destiny by claiming Gold on a difficult course. 6 skiers crashed out including spectacular crashes by Norwegian Anja Paerson and Swiss Dominique Gisin. American Julia Mancuso won Silver (10, 1 Disc, BBC - Chilton/Lee-Gartner, PAL)

Mens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - In the inaugural competition, American Sage Kotsenburg won the Olympic slopestyle Gold medal with a score of 93.50 points. Norway's Staale Sandbech (91.75) was second and Canada's Mark McMorris (88.75) was third. Great Britain's Jamie Nicholls was 6th and Billy Morgan was 10th. Womens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - In the inaugural competition, American Jamie Anderson won the Olympic slopestyle Gold medal with a score of 95.25 points. Finland's Enni Rukajarvi (92.50) was second and Great Britain's Jenny Jones (87.25) was third. The Bronze medal for Jones was Great Britain's 1st ever medal in a Snow event at the Winter Olympics. Mens Snowboard Half-Pipe - The expected coronation of American Shaun White as a 3-time Olympic Gold medallist was dramaically ended as Swiss star Iouri Podladtchikov claimed Gold with 94.75 points, unleashing his "YOLO" trick to take the win. Japan's Ayumu Hirano, aged 15, and Taku Hiraoka took silver and bronze with 93.5 and 92.25 points respectively. White finished 4th with 90.25 from his 2nd run after crashing on his 1st run. Womens Skeleton - Great Britain retained the Gold with Lizzy Arnold controlling the event from start to finish, ending the competition nearly 1 second ahead of American Noelle Pikus-Pace in Silver and 1.5 seconds ahead of Russian Elena Nikitina in Bronze. Womens Curling Bronze Medal Match - Great Britain (6) v (5) Switzerland - In a sensational finish in Sochi, Great Britain claimed the Bronze with the last Stone of the match. The Great Britain team of Eve Muirhead, Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams and Claire Hamilton overcame an early 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the 9th end 5-5. Mens Ice Hockey, Group A - USA (3) v (2) Russia - In front of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the USA continued their unbeaten run in the tournament with a shootout win in the Bolshoy Arena. In a great back-and-forth game, both teams ended regulation at 2-2 and after a goal-less Overtime the game went to a shootout. Both teams had chances to win before the USA clinched the win with their 8th shot. The USA goals came from Cam Fowler and Joe Pavelski. Mens Ice Hockey, Gold Medal Game - Canada (3) v (0) Sweden - Canada successfully defended their Gold medal with a win at the Bolshoy Arena. Goals from Jonathan Toews, Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz, 1 in each period, did the damage and ensured that Canada would finish the tournament unbeaten, the 1st team to do so since 1984. IBSF Skeleton World Championship - Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold completed her Grand Slam, adding the World Championship to her European and Olympic titles. Yarnold led from start to finish, winning by 0.67 seconds after setting a course-record with her final run. German Jacqueline Loelling won Silver and Canadian Elisabeth Vathje won Bronze. Womens 500M Short Track Speedskating - Great Britain skater Elise Christie failed in her attempt to win Gold, placing 4th in the Final after crashing out on the final lap. Italy's Arianna Fontana took Gold, Dutchwoman Yara van Kerkhof took Silver and Canada's Kim Boutin took Bronze. Coverage includes heats featuring GB skater Elise Christie only. Womens 1500M Short Track Speedskating - Great Britain skater Elise Christie crashed out of the Semi-Final, falling after clashing with China's Li Jinyu on the final lap as she tried to finish in the top two. As she spun off the ice, she damaged her ankle ligaments and had to be taken to hospital. Christie was disqualified by the judges. Womens 1000M Short Track Speedskating - An ailing Elise Christie bravely fought through an ankle injury to compete in the 1000M heats but suffered an early exit. Christie finished second after her fall on the first lap led to a restart. But the judges deemed her to have committed an offence during the race which resulted in her disqualification. Mens Snowboard Cross - In an incident-filled event, Frenchman Pierre Vaultier defended his Olympic title with a strong run in the Final. Vaultier had actually fallen in the Semi-Final but recovered quickly to qualify in third place. In the Final Vaultier dominated the race, winning Gold ahead of Australia's Jarryd Hughes (Silver) and Spain's Regino Hernandez (Bronze). In the first quarter-final, Austrian snowboarder Markus Schairer suffered a huge crash, breaking his neck and in the first Semi-Final the OAR rider Nikolay Olyunin crashed and broke his leg while Australian Cameron Bolton crashed and broke his arm. Mens Snowboard Half-Pipe Final - American Shaun White became the first snowboarder to win three Olympic titles when he sensationally won Gold on his final run. Mens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - 17 year old American Red Gerard won a shock Gold in the Slopestyle Final, using a huge-scoring front-side double 1260 trick to win. Gerard scored 87.16 on his final run to beat Canadians Max Parrot (86.00) and Mark McMorris (85.20) into Silver and Bronze respectively (10, 1 hour 46 minutes, 1 Disc, BBC - Leigh/Warwood/Nicholls, PAL)

Discs 5 and 6
Mens Skeleton - South Korea's Yun Sung-bin made his country happy with a record-setting win at the Sliding centre. Yun won Gold by a record 1.63secs over OAR's Nikita Tregubov in Silver. Great Britain's Dom Parsons won his country's first medal of the 2018 Winter Olympics with bronze, 0.11 seconds ahead of fourth-placed Martins Dukurs. Disc 7
Mens Ski Cross - Canadian Brady Leman finally gained redemption after crashing in the 2014 Final, winning Gold at the line by 0.19 seconds over Switzerland's Marc Bischofberger. The Bronze went to OAR's Sergey Ridzik. The event featured a few crashes but done bigger than Canadian Christopher Del Bosco's, who crashed after losing control in mid-air and landed on his hip, breaking his pelvis in the 8th heat of the 1/8 Finals. Womens Snowboard Cross - Italian Michela Moioli claimed Italy's 2nd Gold of the Games with a tight win in the Final. All six finalists were in contention for much of the race but Moioli pulled clear late on to win while 2 athletes crashed on the finish line behind her, fighting for the medals. French rider Julia Pereira de Sousa Mabileau won silver and Czech Eva Samkova bronze. American Lindsay Jacobellis finished 4th. Womens Snowboard Half-Pipe Final - 17 year old American Chloe Kim produced a brilliant performance to take Gold in the Women's Half-Pipe. Kim won with a score of 98.25 on her final run with China's Jiayu Liu taking Silver and the United States' Arielle Gold winning bronze. Womens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - In a controversial Final, American Jamie Anderson successfully defended her Olympic title, beating Canadian Laurie Blouin into Silver and Enni Rukajärvi of Finland into Bronze. The Final was marred by high winds that caused 20 of the 25 competitors to crash out and contributed to a low scoring final. Great Britain's Amiee Fuller finished 17th (10, 2 hours 7 minutes, 1 Disc, BBC - Leigh/Warwood, PAL)

Disc 11
Womens Skeleton - Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold became the first British Winter Olympian to defend her title with a sensational final run. Lizzy overcame a poor opening 2 runs to move into 2nd place before the final run, but in the final run she pulled out a track record time of 51.46 to win Gold. Germany's Jacqueline Lölling took Silver with Great Britain's Laura Deas taking the Bronze. Mens Big Air Final - In the inaugural competition, Canada's Sebastien Toutant won Gold with a score of 174.25, with the United States' Kyle Mack taking Silver with 168.75. The Bronze went to Great Britain's Billy Morgan who nailed a front-side 1440 triple with mute and tail-grab on his final run to finish with 168.00. Disc 1
Womens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - Kiwi Zoi Sadowski-Synnott landed a sensational final run to win and claim New Zealand's first Winter Olympics Gold. She landed a huge 1080 with her final trick to score a massive 92.88. American Julia Marino claimed Silver with Australia's Tess Coady winning Bronze (9, 1 hour 28 minutes, 1 Disc, BBC - Leigh/Warwood, PAL)

Disc 2
Mens Snowboard Slopestyle Final - Canadian Max Parrot won an emotional Gold medal only 3 years after being diagnosed with Cancer, but it wasn't without controversy. His 2nd run, the Gold medal winning run, was marked at 90.96 by the judges, but they had missed a blatant leg-grab by Parrot that would have seen him marked 3 points lower. The score held up and no one was able to beat it and Parrot claimed Gold. Silver went to China's Su Yiming and Canadian Mark McMorris won Bronze. Hi-Lites of run 1. Womens Snowboard Cross - American Lindsey Jacobellis finally laid to rest the ghost of Turin 2006, and won Gold at her 5th attempt. With the win, she became the oldest snowboarding Gold medallist in Olympic history, and the oldest American woman to win a medal of any colour at the Winter Olympics. The Italian team of Omar Visintin and Michela Moioli won Silver with the Canadian team of Éliot Grondin and Meryeta O'Dine winning Bronze. Womens Big Air Final - Austria's Anna Gasser nailed a massive cab 1260 on her final jump to take top spot and retain her Olympic Big Air Gold medal. Mens Big Air Final - China's Teenage sensation Su Yiming won his country's first ever snowboard Gold medal with 2 outstanding jumps. He landed a pair of huge 1800s (front and backside) in his opening 2 runs which meant his 3rd run became a victory lap. Discs 9 and 10
Womens Curling Final : Great Britain v Japan - On the final day of the games, Great Britain finally won a Gold Medal, easily beating Japan in the final 10-3. The Great Britain team of Eve Muirhead, Vicky Wright, Jen Dodds, and Hailey Duff never trailed in the game, and wrapped up the Gold with a decisive 4-stone win in the 7th end.
