- Defending 4 time Wimbledon champion Borg faced off against the 21 year old newcomer John McEnroe in one of the best tennis games of all time.

Nadal started strong, winning the first 2 sets but Federer fought back winning the next 2 sets on tie-breaks. Wimbledon Womens Final - Angelique Kerber v Serena Williams - German Angelique Kerber beat American Serena Williams 6-3, 6-3 to win her first Wimbledon title and to end Williams chance of making Tennis history. Williams was favourite to win and was chasing her 8th Wimbledon title and a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title but Kerber used a strong service-return game to put pressure on Williams, and she folded under the pressure, making 24 unforced errors. Wimbledon Womens Final - Ashleigh Barty v Karolína Pliskova - Australian Ashleigh Barty won her first Wimbledon Title with a see-saw win over the Czech Republic's Karolína Pliskova, 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-3. Barty won the first 14 points of the game in a sensational start, but Pliskova fought back to take the 2nd set. US Open Womens Final - Emma Raducanu v Leylah Hernandez - On an historic night at Flushing Meadow, Great Britain's Emma Raducanu ended Britain's 44-year wait for a Women's Grand Slam singles champion, beating Canadian Leylah Fernandez in straight sets, 6-4 6-3. In a battle of the teenagers, 18-year-old Raducanu and 19-year-old Hernandez were well matched, but Raducanu won the big points at the right time, and finally took the title with her 3rd-Championshp point.
