NCAA Tournament Final - Syracuse Orangemen (14) v (13) Navy Midshipmen - In a great game, Syracuses' 4 time All-American Michael Powell (1 goal, 5 assists) scored the winner in the final minute to beat Navy and secure the Orangemen their 8th National Championship. Navy looked favourites to win as they led 12-11 late on but Syracuse out-scored Navy 3-1 in the final 5 minutes to take the win. NCAA Tournament 1st Round - Army Black Knights (9) @ (8) Syracuse Orangemen - In a big upset, Army took the reigning champions to 2 overtimes before taking the win with a sudden-death goal. Syracuse led 5-1 in the 2nd quarter but Army, led by Jeremy Boltus and Devin Lynch, didn't quit and took Syracuse into extra-time before winning the game with 5 seconds left in the 2nd overtime. NCAA Tournament Final - Duke Blue Devils (6) v (5) Notre Dame Fighting Irish - Duke overcame the heartache of 2 previous Finals losses to win their 1st ever title with a sudden-death Overtime goal. In a tense affair, the #5 seed Blue Devils and the unseeded Fighting Irish played out the lowest scoring final ever but the game was high on drama with neither side able to take the initiative. Notre Dame's goals game from Zach Brennaman (3), David Earl and Sean Rogers. FIL World Championship Final - USA (12) v (10) Canada - In Manchester, England, USA won their 7th title against their big rivals and reigning champions, Canada. USA led 8-4 at the half but Canada fought back in the 3rd quarter to tie the game at 8-8. Both teams exchanged scores in the final quarter before the USA scored late goals from Ned Crotty (2) and Mike Leveille to take the title. NCAA Tournament Final - Loyola (MD) (9) v (3) Maryland - Loyola claimed their 1st ever NCAA title with a dominating win over their in-state neighbours the Terrapins. Led by tournament top scorer Eric Lusby (4 goals), the Greyhounds overturned an early 3-2 deficit to score 7 unanswered goals to take the title (10, 1 Disc, ESPN - McAnaney/Kessenich, PAL)

NCAA Tournament Quarter Final - John Hopkins Blue Jays (16) v (15) Syracuse Orangemen - Un-seeded John Hopkins upset #2 Syracuse in a shootout in Annnapolis, Maryland. The Blue Jays broke open a 7-6 game at the half with a 5 goal 3rd quarter, and then held a 16-12 lead with only 1:46 left in the game. But Syracuse sensationally reeled off 3 goals to pull within 1 goal before John Hopkins won the final face-off with 11 seconds left to seal the win. John Hopkins were led by Shack Stanwick (4 goals, 2 assists) and Wells Stanwick (4 goals, 2 assists). Syracuse were led by Kevin Rice (3 goals, 4 assists), Dylan Donahue (3 goals), Randy Staats (3 goals), Nicky Galasso (3 goals) and Ben Williams (22 of 34 on faceoffs).
