TELEVISION - DEUTSCHLAND '83 / '86 / '89

The Deutschland '83/'86/'89 trilogy is a German-American spy thriller/comedy, set in Communist East Berlin as it is struggling to cope with the rise of Western Capitalism. The story follows East German spy Martin Rauch as he becomes involved in the Nuclear Cold War, the rise of the ANC in South Africa and Colonel Gaddafi in Libya and finally the fall of the Berlin Wall. The show is in German with English subtitles.

Episode 3 - "Atlantic Lion" - Martin is tasked with seducing Henrik Mayer's secretary, Linda Seiler / Alex meets Tischbier at a Peace rally

Episode 1 - "Tar Baby" - Lenora retrieves Martin from exile in Angola to help her sell West German weapons to the South African Army in Cape Town / Martin meets Brigitte Winkelmann
Episode 2 - "Ommegang" - Lenora and Martin find a guide to bring the weapons shipment into Angola, but he is not all he seems
Episode 3 - "Dragon Rouge" - Lenora and Martin find themselves in an explosive situation at the refinery, which Martin tries to resolve with tragic consequences
Episode 4 - "Le Cafard" - Martin finds himself in Libya, at a time when Gaddafi is at war with the west
Episode 5 - "Green Book" - Martin finds out Brigitte is a West German spy and she hides him in Paris / Martin figures out that there is a Libyan terrorist attack imminent
Episode 6 - "Tjello" - Martin returns to West Berlin to prove he wasn't involved in the bombing and meets Thomas Posimnski
Episode 7 - "El Dorado Canyon" - Martin strikes a deal to get back in to East Germany / Tina and her family try to cross the border with tragic consequences
Episode 8 - "Vula" - Martin needs to prove himself to the HVA / Tina is imprisoned in a Stasi prison
Episode 9 - "Chickenfeed" - Tina is released to the West / Martin returns to the East and confronts Annette / Martin finds out about the Dream Ship
Episode 10 - "Total Onslaught" - Martin finalises plans to kidnap Max and run away to the West / The Dream Ship scam is revealed, costing Lenora everything

Episode 3 - "Magic" - Martin and Walter learn of Lenora's escape from prison / Martin is drugged with Magic Mushrooms by Carl and Sabine, his new targets
Episode 4 - "Operation Condor" - Martin and Lenora's paths cross again, with tragic consequences / Fritz attempts to become an entrepreneur
Episode 5 - "Timisoara Rebellion" - Martin and Nicole travel to Romania to find Lenora / Fuchs and Dietrich arrive in Frankfurt with a request for Walter
