TELEVISION - COMIC RELIEF / SPORT RELIEF
Comic Relief is an operating British charity, founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in response to the famine in Ethiopia. The concept of Comic Relief is to get British comedians to make the public laugh, while raising money to help people around the world and in the United Kingdom. The highlight of Comic Relief's appeal is Red Nose Day, a biennial telethon held in March, alternating with its sister project Sport Relief.

Comic Relief - In the 25th anniversary show, stars of the British Comedy and Acting world gathered together to raise money for good causes in the UK and in Africa. The show included special sketches from Ricky Gervais, The Vicar of Dibley, Call the Midwife, Peter Kay and David Walliams. Singer Jessie J also shaved her head.
