Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Frankfurt (2) @ (1) Arsenal - Arsenal's attempt to make the Final took a big hit as favourites Frankfurt scored with the last kick of the game to take a lead back to Germany for the 2nd leg. After a scoreless 1st half largely controlled by Arsenal, Frankfurt took the lead in the 2nd half with a goal from Ana Maria Crnogorcevic. Arsenal levelled the score with a goal from Ciara Grant but, with the game destined for a draw, Kerstin Garefrekes stole in at the far post to score a sensational late winner (10, 58 minutes hi-lites, 1 Disc, Eurosport - Caple, PAL)

Final - Lyon (2) v (0) Frankfurt - In Berlin's Olympic Stadium, Lyon successfully defended the Champions League crown with a big win over a strong Frankfurt team. The winning goals came in the 1st half from Eugénie Le Sommer (Penalty) and Camille Abily (a great finish) which they defended to the end. Last 16, 1st Leg - FFC Turbine Potsdam (1) @ (2) Arsenal - Arsenal finally beat a German team in the Champions League to put one foot in the Quarter Finals. Goals in the 2nd half from captain Katie Chapman and substitute Ellen White gave Arsenal a comfortable lead but a fantastic goal from Yuki Ogimi near the end of the game meant Potsdam had a lifeline for the 2nd leg (10, 2nd half only, 1 Disc, Eurosport - Boyce/Hayes, PAL)

Final - Wolfsburg (1) v (0) Lyon - In a huge upset at Stamford Bridge, German side Wolfsburg won their 1st Champions League title with a tight win over the 2-time defending Champions. Lyon dominated the game but paid for poor finishing when Wolfsburg won and converted a penalty, scored by Martina Müller, with 17 minutes left in the game. The Germans held on to take the win and inflict on Lyon their 1st loss in normal time in 120 games (10, 2 Discs, Eurosport - Boyce/O'Neill, PAL)

2013/14
Final - Tyresö FF (3) v (4) Wolfsburg - In a shootout in Lisbon, Wolfsburg overcame a strong game from Tyresö FF to retain their Champions League title. Tyresö FF dominated the 1st half and led 2-0 at the break but Wolfsburg fought back quickly at the start of the 2nd half to tie the game at 2-2. Tyresö FF then re-took the lead only for Wolfsburg to score 2 unanswered goals to win the cup. The Wolfsburg goals came from Alexandra Popp, Martina Müller (2) and Verena Faisst. The Tyresö FF goals came from Marta (2) and Veronica Boquete. Tyresö FF also featured Christen Press and captain Caroline Seger (10, 2 Discs, Eurosport - Caple/Hayes, PAL)

2014/15
Quarter Final 2nd Leg - Bristol Academy (0) @ (7) Frankfurt - Frankfurt easily progressed to the Semi-Finals with a big home win, taking the tie 12-0 on aggregate. Bristol were under pressure from the start and were 1-0 down after 8 minutes and 2-0 down at the half. The 2nd half saw Frankfurt pile on the pressure and run out easy winners, restricting Bristol to only 3 attempts on goal while making 30 attempts of their own. The goal-scorers for Frankfurt were Kozue Ando, Dzsenifer Marozsán, Laura Störzel, Jana Löber and a hat-trick for Mandy Islacker (9, 1 Disc, Eurosport - Caple/Smith, PAL)

Final - Frankfurt (2) v (1) Paris Saint-Germain - In a tight Final in Berlin, Frankfurt claimed their 4th European Cup with an injury-time winner over PSG. Both teams were evenly matched during the game, and went in at the half tied 1-1. The game seemed destined for Extra-Time when Frankfurt's Mandy Islacker scored with a looping shot in the 91st minute to win the game for the Germans. The other Frankfurt goal game from Célia Šašic. Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Lyon (0) @ (0) Manchester City - Manchester City kept their hopes alive of a place in the Final with a home scoreless draw against the defending champions. In a game of few chances, it was City's goalkeeper Karen Bardsley that made the telling contribution with a late save to keep City in the tie. Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Manchester City (0) @ (1) Lyon - Lyon booked a place in their 3rd straight final with a tight win in Lyon. A 1st half goal from ex-City player Lucy Bronze, a brilliant volley from the edge of the box, was the decider and as much as City huffed and puffed in the 2nd half, Lyon comfortably held on for the win. Final - Wolfsburg (1) @ (4) Lyon - Lyon won a record 3rd straight Champions League title against Wolfsburg in Kiev, but needed extra-time to do so. Both teams battled through a scoreless 90 minutes, and went into extra-time. Wolfsburg scored first, but then had a player sent off and Lyon took advantage, scoring 4 unanswered goals to win the trophy. The Lyon goals came from Amandine Henry, Eugénie Le Sommer, Ada Hegerberg and Camille Abily. The Wolfsburg goal came from Pernille Harder. 2018/19
Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Chelsea (1) @ (2) Lyon - In front of 22,000 people in Lyon, the hosts and reigning Champions forged a 2-1 lead to take into the 2nd leg. Lyon dominated the 1st half and held a comfortable 2-0 lead leading up to half-time. But with the last kick of the half, Chelsea won a penalty, and even though they missed it, it gave them confidence for the 2nd half. Both teams were evenly matched in the 2nd half and Chelsea got the goal they deserved with 18 minutes to go. Lyon saw out the game without conceding again to leave the game in the balance. The Lyon goals came from and own goal from Magdalena Eriksson and Amandine Henry. The Chelsea goal came from Erin Cuthbert (9, 2 Discs, BBC - Andrews/Nevin, PAL)

Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Lyon (1) @ (1) Chelsea - In front of a raucous crowd at Kingsmeadow, Lyon held off Chelsea to go through to their 4th straight final and their 8th since 2010. Lyon led 2-1 after the 1st leg and extended their lead with a 16th minute goal as a Eugenie Le Sommer shot was deflected in off of Maren Mjelde. Chelsea fought back, though, and drew level with a fantastic free-kick goal from Korean Ji So-Yun to take a 1-1 draw in at the half. Chelsea pushed hard for the goal to force extra-time and captain Karen Carney hit the post but Lyon held on to take the win (9, 2 Discs, BBC - Sparks/Ludlow, PAL)

Final - Lyon (4) v (1) Barcelona - At the Groupama Arena in Budapest, Hungary, Lyon won their 4th consecutive Champions League Final with a dominant victory over the Spanish champions Barcelona. The Catalans were making their 1st appearance in the Final. Lyon overwhelmed Barcelona right from the start and scored all 4 of their goals in the opening 30 minutes. A shell-shocked Barcelona re-grouped at half-time and, despite a consolation goal in the final minute, never looked like threatening the French Champions. The Lyon goals came from Ada Hegerberg (3) and Dzsenifer Marozsán. The Barcelona goal came from substitute Asisat Oshoala. Lyon also featured Lucy Bronze and Jess Fishlock. 2019/20
Quarter Final - Arsenal (1) v (2) Paris St.Germain - Paris St.Germain used a strong 2nd half to dispatch Arsenal and book their place in the Semi-Final. Playing at an empty Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian, Spain (due to the Coronavirus Pandemic), both teams went in at the break tied 1-1. But Arsenal, who hadn't played a competitive match in 175 days, faded in the 2nd half and PSG took advantage, scoring the game-winning goal in the 77th minute that they defended to the end.  The PSG goals came from Marie-Antoinette Katoto and substitute Signe Bruun. Semi-Final - Paris St.Germain (0) v (1) Lyon - In an eventful Semi-Final at an empty San Mames Satdium in Bilbao (due to the Coronavirus Pandemic), Lyon booked a place in their 5th straight Champions League Final with a tough, hard-fought win over PSG. The game turned in the 2nd half when PSG had a player sent off for 2 bookings, and from the resulting free-kick, Wendie Renard scored what proved to be the game-winner. Lyon also had a player sent off, England's Nikita Parris, making for a nervy final 15 minutes for Lyon, but they defended well to see out the game. Lyon also featured Lucy Bronze (9, 2 Discs, BT Sport - Summerton/Ward, PAL)

Final - Wolfsburg (1) v (3) Lyon - Lyon won the Women's Champions League for a fifth consecutive year as they beat Wolfsburg 3-1 in San Sebastian, Spain. Playing at an empty Anoeta Stadium, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Lyon started fast and took a 2-0 lead in at the half. Wolfsburg pulled a goal back early in the 2nd half, but Lyon defended resolutely and sealed the win with a late 3rd goal. The Lyon goals came from Eugenie le Sommer, Saki Kumagai and Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir and they also featured Jodie Taylor, Alex Greenwood and Lucy Bronze, who was making her final appearance for Lyon. 2020/21
Last 16, 1st Leg - Fiorentina (0) @ (3) Manchester City - Manchester City put one foot in the Quarter Final with an emphatic win at the Academy Stadium. 2 goals in the opening 4 minutes shocked the Italians and they never recovered, and a match-sealing goal in the final minutes gave City a huge advantage heading into the 2nd leg. Last 16, 2nd Leg - Manchester City (5) @ (0) Fiorentina - Manchester City moved into the Quarter Finals with a comfortable 8-0 aggregate win over Fiorentina in Florence. 3 goals in the 1st Half ended any chance Fiorentina had of overturning the 1st leg deficit and City rounded out the win with 2 more goals in the 2nd half. Quarter Final, 1st Leg - Chelsea (2) @ (1) Wolfsburg - Chelsea took a slim advantage into the 2nd leg with a tough win in Budapest. The game was played in the Hungarian capital due to coronavirus travel restrictions in Germany. Chelsea survived a 1st half onslaught from Wolfsburg to go in at the half tied at 0-0 and then the Blues took the lead against the run of play, scoring 2 unanswered goals to stun the Germans. A late converted penalty gave Wolfsburg something to build on for the 2nd leg but the tie belonged to Chelsea. The Chelsea goals came from Sam Kerr and former Wolfsburg player Pernile Harder. Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Wolfsburg (0) @ (3) Chelsea - Chelsea finally ended their Wolfsburg hex, beating the Germans in Budapest to book a place in the Semi-Final. Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Chelsea (1) @ (2) Bayern Munich - Bayern Munich took a 1-goal advantage into the 2nd leg with a tactical masterclass in the 1st leg. The Germans nullified the Blues potent attack with a suffocating midfield and took their chances up-front when they arrived. Goals from Sydney Lohmann and Hanna Glas, 1 in each half, gave Bayern the win but an important "Away" goal from former Bayern Munich captain Melanie Leupolz gave Chelsea hope for the 2nd Leg. Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Bayern Munich (1) @ (4) Chelsea - Chelsea booked a place in their first Champions League Final with a sensational display at Kingsmeadow. The Blues over-turned a 2-1 loss from the 1st leg with 2 goals in the 1st half, then survived intense pressure from Bayern in the 2nd half before scoring 2 goals in the final 6 minutes to book their place in the final. The Chelsea goals came from Fran Kirby (2), Ji So-yun and Pernille Harder. The Bayern Munich goal came from Sarah Zadrazil, a brilliant 25-yard shot (9, 2 Discs, BT Sport - Summerton/Ward, PAL)

Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Paris St-Germain (1) @ (2) Barcelona - Barcelona proved too strong for PSG at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, scoring 2 goals in the 1st half to win the game and go through to their 2nd Champions League Final in 3 years. Barcelona made the most of their chances with Dutch midfielder Lieke Martens scoring both goals in the opening 30 minutes of the game. PSG pulled a goal back but Barcelona saw out the game with a great Defensive effort to book their place in the final (9, 2 Discs, BT Sport - Wyeth/Chamberlain, PAL)

Final - Chelsea (0) v (4) Barcelona - Barcelona won their 1st Champions League title with a comprehensive win over the English Champions in Gothenburg. The Catalans blitzed Chelsea right from the start, scoring after 33 seconds then adding 3 more goals in the following 35 minutes. Chelsea, in their 1st ever Champions League Final, played better in the 2nd half, but Barcelona defended resolutely and easily saw out the game. The Barcelona goals came from Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmati, Caroline Graham Hansen and an own-goal and they also featured Lieke Martens. 2024/25
Final - Arsenal (1) v (0) Barcelona - At the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal, Arsenal won their 2nd Champions League title 18 years after their 1st, with a shock win over the holders. Barcelona were playing in their 6th final in 7 years and were big favourites, but Arsenal continually pressured the Spaniards and were rewarded with a goal in the 74th minute that they defended to the end to win the cup. The goal came from substitute Stina Blackstenius. Arsenal also featured Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly and captain Kim Little. Barcelona featured Aitana Bonmatí and captain Alexia Putellas (9, 2 Discs, TNT - Ellard/Beattie, PAL)
