College Cup Final - North Carolina Tarheels (1) v (0) Stanford Cardinal - At a rainy and windy College Station, Texas, North Carolina won their 21st NCAA title with a tight win over unbeaten Stanford. The Tarheels took the lead in the 3rd minute with a goal from Jessica McDonald then used great Defense to protect their lead until the end. North Carolina had the better of the 1st half, but Stanford had the better of the 2nd half. The luck wasn't with the Cardinal though, as they had a goal disallowed for Offside and went down to 10 players after star striker Kelley O'Hara was sent off for 2 yellow cards. College Cup Semi-Final - Stanford (3) v (0) Florida State - #1 seed Stanford reached their 3rd straight Final with a comfortable win over Florida State. College Cup Final - Duke (0) v (1) Stanford - After a remarkable 3 year run, Stanford finally won their 1st ever title in a tough game against the Blue Devils of Duke. After a tight 1st half, Stanford finally made the breakthrough with a 2nd half goal from Teresa Noyola that they defended to the end. The win capped a remarkable 3 year run where Stanford never lost a regular season game or a home game and where they played in 3 straight finals. College Cup Semi-Final - UCLA (1) v (1) Virginia - UCLA reached their 1st Final since 2005 with a Penalty Shootout win over the Cavaliers. Normal time ended 1-1 with a 73rd minute goal from Virginia's Makenzy Doniak cancelled out by an 85th minute equaliser from Ally Courtnall. College Cup Semi-Final - UCLA (1) v (0) Florida State - UCLA won their 1st ever title at their 4th attempt with an extra-time "Golden Goal" win in Cary, North Carolina. UCLA had the better of the match but couldn't find the breakthrough, despite twice hitting the woodwork. Once in Extra-Time, the Bruins continued to press and scored the winner in the 97th minute with a well worked goal from Kodi Lavrusky. UCLA head coach Amanda Cromwell became just the second women's soccer coach ever to win the NCAA title in her first season with a team, as well as only the second female coach to win the title. College Cup Final - Virginia Cavaliers (0) v (1) Florida State Seminoles - Florida State won their first ever NCAA title with a late winner at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton. The Seminoles win gave the Cavaliers their 3rd loss of the season. All 3 loses were to Florida State. The Seminoles Defense held the Cavaliers to no shots on target in the game. The match was settled in the 83rd minute when Senior Jamia Fields scored the game-winner, but Florida State still needed great Defense as Virginia looked for the equaliser, and they held on to take the win. College Cup Final - Duke Blue Devils (0) v (1) Penn State Nitanny Lions - In a tight Defensive affair in Cary, North Carolina, Penn State won their 1st ever NCAA title. College Cup Semi-Final - North Carolina (0) v (1) West Virginia - West Virginia continued their fairy-tale run in the NCAA Tournament by knocking out fancied North Carolina to book a place in their 1st ever College Cup Final. The hero for the Mountaineers was forward Michaela Abam whose well-taken goal in the 74th minute gave West Virginia the lead they defended to the end. College Cup Semi-Final - Georgetown (0) v (1) USC - USC booked a place in only their 2nd College Cup Final with a tight 1-0 win over the Hoyas. Georgetown controlled the 1st half but couldn't make the most of their opportunities and the Trojans made them pay in the 2nd half with a 60th minute goal from Katie Johnson that proved to be the winner. College Cup Final - USC (3) v (1) West Virginia - In San Jose, California #2 USC claimed their 2nd College Cup title with a tight win against #1 West Virginia. The Trojans broke open a 1-1 tie with 2 goals in the final 16 minutes. The USC goal-scorers were Katie Johnson (2) and Morgan Andrews. The West Virginia goal-scorer was Ashley Lawrence. College Cup Final - UCLA (2) v (3) Stanford - For the first time ever, 2 teams from the PAC-12 faced off in the College Cup Final, and it was #1 ranked Stanford that claimed their 2nd title by holding off #4 UCLA in Orlando. Stanford held a 2-0 lead at the half with goals from Andi Sullivan and Kyra Carusa. But in a 4 minute stretch in the 2nd half, UCLA scored 2 goals to tie the game, with the goals coming from Jessie Fleming and Delanie Sheehan. College Cup Final - Florida State Seminoles (1) v (0) North Carolina Tarheels - In a tightly-contested all-ACC final in Cary, North Carolina, the Seminoles won their second NCAA title with a great Defensive performance. Both teams Defense's were in charge with only 8 combined shots on goal allowed the whole game, but the Seminoles converted one of their chances in the 60th minute into the game-winning goal from Dallas Dorosy. College Cup Semi-Final - UCLA (1) v (4) Stanford - At Avaya Stadium in San Jose, top-ranked and top-seeded Stanford beat PAC-12 rival UCLA to reach their 2nd Final in 3 years. UCLA opened the scoring in the 7th minute but Stanford responded within 2 minutes and rattled off 3 more unanswered goals to take the win. Stanford had 25 shots on goal in the game. The Stanford goals came from Sophia Smith (3) and Carly Malatskey. The UCLA goal came from Chloe Castaneda. College Cup Final - North Carolina (0) v (0) Stanford - Stanford won their 3rd National Title and their 2nd in 3 years with a penalty shootout win over North Carolina at the Avaya Stadium in San Jose. The Tarheels executed a perfect Defensive gameplan to stymie the free-scoring Cardinal and forced the game firstly to extra-time then to penalties. College Cup Semi-Final - Santa Clara Broncos (3) v (1) North Carolina Tarheels - #11 seed Santa Clara advanced to their first College Cup Final since 2001 with an upset win over #2 seed North Carolina. The Broncos took a 1-0 lead in at the break before the Tarheels equalised early in the 2nd half. But any chance North Carolina thought they had evaporated 30 seconds after the re-start when the Broncos capitalised on a Defensive mistake to re-take the lead. North Carolina pushed for another equaliser but it was the Broncos that scored next and saw out the game with a great goalkeeping display from Marlee Nicolos. College Cup Final - Santa Clara Broncos (1) v (1) Florida State Seminoles - #11 seed Santa Clara completed their fairytale run through the Playoffs with a penalty shootout win against #1 seed Florida State and claimed their 2nd National Championship. Florida State dominated for much of the match but the Broncos forced extra-time with 6 minutes to play then, after a scoreless extra-time, they kept their composure to score all their penalties while the Seminoles folded under the pressure, missing their first 2 kicks. The Santa Clara goal came from Kelsey Turnbow and they also featured Izzy D'Aquila. College Cup Semi-Final - Santa Clara Broncos (0) v (0) BYU Cougars - #13 seed BYU advanced to its first ever National Championship game, in its first ever NCAA College Cup appearance, by beating defending champion and #12 seed Santa Clara in a penalty shootout. BYU had the better of the game, outshooting Santa Clara 26-13, but couldn't find the breakthrough in regulation or extra-time so the game went to penalties. The Cougars missed their first 2 kicks, but goalkeeper Cassidy Smith kept BYU in it and they won the shootout 3-2 to advance to the final. College Cup Final - BYU Cougars (0) v (0) Florida State Seminoles - For the 3rd time in the 8 years, #1 seed Florida State won the National Championship, beating #13 seed BYU in a penalty shootout. Both teams had their chances in regulation and extra-time, but great defending kept the game scoreless. In the shootout, the hero was Seminoles goalkeeper Cristina Roque who made 2 saves, allowing Youjie Zhao to score the winning kick that won the title (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Hildreth/Foudy, PAL)

College Cup Final - UCLA Bruins (3) v (2) North Carolina Tarheels - In a sensational finish, top-seed UCLA won their 2nd National Championship with an extra-time win over the Tarheels at the WakeMed Soccer Park. North Carolina led 2-1 as the game entered the final 17 seconds of the game, but UCLA scored off of a corner to force extra-time. Once in the extra period, UCLA proved the better team and the game-winner came in the 107th minute. The Bruins held on until the end and claimed the title. The UCLA goals came from Lexi Wright, Reilyn Turner and Maricarmen Reyes. The North Carolina goals came from Avery Patterson (2).
