05/02/11 - Arsenal (4) @ (4) Newcastle - In arguably the greatest Premiership game ever, Newcastle came back from a 4-0 deficit at the half to take a share of the points. Arsenal were 3-0 up after 10 minutes thanks to goals from Theo Walcott, Johan Djourou and Robin Van Persie and when Van Persie scored a 4th after 26 minutes the game seemed over. But Newcastle sensationally fought back in the 2nd half with all their goals coming in the final 22 minutes. 28/08/11 - Arsenal (2) @ (8) Manchester United - Manchester United inflicted on Arsenal their worst defeat in over 100 years with a dominating win at Old Trafford. An under-strength Arsenal team were no match for a clinical United team as the Red Devils built on a 3-1 half-time lead to easily take the win. The United goals came from Wayne Rooney (3), Ashley Young (2), Danny Welbeck, Nani and Park Ji-sung. 23/10/11 - Manchester City (6) @ (1) Manchester United - City showed their title credentials with a huge win at Old Trafford and inflicted on United their heaviest home defeat since 1955. City only led 1-0 at the half with a goal from Mario Ballotelli but dominated the 2nd half with further goals from Ballotelli, Edin Dzeko (2), David Silva & Sergio Aguero. 29/10/11 - Arsenal (5) @ (3) Chelsea - In a shootout at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal proved that their season was still on track with a comeback win against Chelsea. The Blues led 2-1 at the half but Arsenal turned on the style in the 2nd half with 4 goals including the completion of a hat-trick for Robin Van Persie. The other Arsenal goals came from Theo Walcott and Andre Santos. 26/12/11 - Fulham (1) @ (1) Chelsea - A Boxing Day local derby ended with honours even as Fulham battled back in the 2nd half to take a share of the points. Neither team could find the breakthrough in the 1st half but Juan Mata gave Chelsea the lead within 2 minutes of the re-start for the 2nd half. Fulham fought back to level the game with a goal from Clint Dempsey and despite late pressure from the Blues, Fulham held on for the draw. 21/01/12 - Newcastle (2) @ (5) Fulham - A typical game of 2 halves saw Fulham overcome a 1-0 deficit at the half to shock 6th ranked Newcastle and take the win. Newcastle had the better of the 1st half and led with a great goal from Danny Guthrie. But in the 2nd half, Andy Johnson moved up front to partner Bobby Zamora and Fulham took control of the game with great attacking football. 13/05/12 - Queens Park Rangers (2) @ (3) Manchester City - In a sensational finish on the last day of the season, City scored twice in injury time to claim their 1st League title since 1968. City knew they needed to match Manchester United's result to win the title, and with United winning 1-0 they needed to beat QPR. QPR led 2-1 as the game entered injury time, but City sensationally rescued the game with goals from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero to win the title. Premiership - Manchester City (0) @ (1) Southampton - In a big upset at an empty St.Mary's Stadium due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Southampton beat #2 Manchester City. Even though there was nothing riding on the outcome of the game, with City having lost the league title and Southampton safe from relegation, both teams played out a game full of intensity.
