Champions League Final - Barcelona (2) v (0) Manchester United - Barcelona clinched their 2nd title in 3 years with a comfortable win against the English Champions. Goals in each half from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi did the damage. Barcelona controlled the game with a dominating performance in midfield from Andries Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez that kept the ball and also denied the United strikers any supply. Barcelona were led by 1st year coach Pep Guardiola and also featured Thierry Henry, Carlos Puyol and Gerard Pique. Champions League Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Arsenal (1) @ (4) Barcelona - Reigning champions Barcelona booked their place in the semi-final with a stunning win in the Nou camp that saw them through 6-3 on aggregate. Lionel Messi was the star, scoring all 4 goals after Arsenal had taken a shock 1st half lead through Nicklas Bendtner. Messi scored his opening 3 goals in a 21 minute spell in the 1st half and Barca coasted home in the 2nd half (10, 1 Disc, SKY - Hawthorne/Gray, PAL)

Champions League Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Barcelona (2) @ (0) Real Madrid - In an ill-tempered 1st Leg, Barcelona scored the all-important goals to take the advantage into the 2nd leg. Both goals came in the 2nd half from Lionel Messi, with his 2nd goal a superb individual effort where he beat 4 players before beating the keeper. There were 43 fouls in the game which also included a fight at half-time as the players left the field and 3 red cards including Real Madrid coach Jose Mourniho and midfielder Pepe. Champions League Last 16, 2nd Leg - Bayer Leverkusen (1) @ (7) Barcelona - On a record-setting night at the Nou camp, Barcelona posted a 10-2 aggregate win to advance to the Quarter Finals. Barcelona ended the tie as a contest by scoring 2 goals in the 1st half then completed the rout with 5 more goals in the 2nd half. The goals came from Lionel Messi (5) and Cristian Tello (2). With his 5 goals, Messi became the 1st player to ever score 5 in 1 match in Champions League history.
