The Ajax goals came from John Bosman (2) and Marco Van Basten (2), with Van Basten's goals both coming in Extra-Time. The Den Haag goals came from Remco Boere and Tony Morley. The De Kuip stadium was only populated with Feyenoord fans as the Ajax fans had been sent home after trashing the trains that brought them to the stadium. The game was tied at 1-1 with 10 minutes remaining when Feyenoord took the lead with a Dirk Kuyt goal. But Zdenek Grygera tied the game again with a spectacular volley before Hedwiges Maduro punished suicidal defending with the winner in the final minute. Spanish La Liga - Villarreal (3) @ (3) Real Madrid - Real Madrid needed a result to stay in touch for 2nd place in La Liga and automatic qualification for the Champions League the following season. It was also Zinedine Zidane's last home game for Real Madrid. Madrid had 26 shots on goal but poor finishing and untimely bad defending let Villarreal take a 2-1 lead into the half. Zidane scored after the break but when Diego Forlan scored a penalty in the 86th minute the game seemed lost.
