But Barcelona weathered the storm and Rivaldo equalised in the 36 minute. But instantly the 1 goal advantage was restored as Raul scored from the re-start. Spanish La Liga - Villarreal (3) @ (3) Real Madrid - Real Madrid needed a result to stay in touch for 2nd place in La Liga and automatic qualification for the Champions League the following season. It was also Zinedine Zidane's last home game for Real Madrid. Madrid had 26 shots on goal but poor finishing and untimely bad defending let Villarreal take a 2-1 lead into the half. Zidane scored after the break but when Diego Forlan scored a penalty in the 86th minute the game seemed lost. Spanish Copa Del Rey Final - Real Madrid (2) v (1) Barcelona - Real Madrid won the cup for the 19th time with a sensational late winner from Gareth Bale. Real Madrid were missing star striker Cristiano Ronaldo to injury so Real played Bale, Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria up front. Di Maria gave Real a 1-0 lead at the half before Marc Bartra equalised in the 2nd half. In the 85th minute Bale scored the winner in remarkable fashion, out-pacing Bartra from the half-way line after being forced onto the running track, and then scoring through José Manuel Pinto's legs.
