Semi-Final - Denmark (2) v (2) Holland - Underdogs Denmark defeated favourites and current champions Holland in a shootout win in Gothenburg. 2 goals from Henrik Larsen were off-set by goals from Dennis Bergkamp and an 86th minute equaliser from Frank Rijkaard that forced extra-time. Neither team could find a breakthrough so the game went to penalties. Final - Denmark (2) v (0) Germany - Denmark shocked the world with a comprehensive victory over the new favourites, Germany. Goals from John Jensen (a stunning long-range drive) and Kim Vilfort gave the Danes the lead which they defended to the end. Denmark also featured keeper Peter Schmeichel, Brian Laudrup and Fleming Poulsen. Germany featured Jurgen Kohler, Andreas Brehme, Matthias Sammer, Karl-Heinz Riedle and Jurgen Klinsmann.
