The current Champions were missing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, captain Marquinhos and Joao Neves to injury and found themselves 1-0 down after 19 minutes. But 2 unanswered goals turned the game around, with the game-winner coming in the 90th minute to stun the home fans. The PSG goals came from Senny Mayulu and Goncalo Ramos. Last 16, 1st Leg - Tottenham Hotspur (2) @ (5) Atletico Madrid - On a night of high drama at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Atletico all but booked their place in the Quarter Finals with a ruthless display in front of goal. Atletico were 4-0 up after 22 minutes, thanks to a shocking defensive performance with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky gifting Madrid 2 of the goals. Munich dominated the 1st half and went in at the break with a 1-0 lead then doubled their lead straight after the re-start. A stunned Madrid finally switched on and pressed hard for a goal, but Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer stood strong and kept them at bay. With time ticking down, he was finally beaten but Munich held on for the 1st leg victory. The Bayern Munich goals came from Luis Diaz and Harry Kane. Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Real Madrid (3) @ (4) Bayern Munich - In a sensational shootout at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich booked their place in the Semi-Final with a hard-fought win against 15-time winners Real Madrid. The 1st half was a goal-fest, with Madrid holding a 3-2 lead at the break. With the tie finely balanced, the game turned in the final 5 minutes of the 2nd half when Madrid had substitute Eduardo Camavinga sent off. Munich sensed an opening and took advantage, scoring 2 goals in 5 minutes to seal the win. The Bayern Munich goals came from Aleksandar Pavlovic, Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Michael Olise. League-leaders Barcelona had the better of the 1st half, but the game turned in Atletico's favour just before half-time when Barcelona Centre-Back Pau Cubarsi was sent off for a professional foul. From the resulting free-kick, Julian Alvarez scored a sensational goal to give Atletico a 1-0 lead at the half. Barcelona fought back with 10-men, but Atletico sealed the win in the 70th minute with a goal from substitute Alexander Sorloth and saw out the game for the 1st-leg win. Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Barcelona (2) @ (1) Atletico Madrid - In front of a raucous crowd at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, Atletico held off a strong Barcelona comeback to book a place in the Semi-Final. Barcelona levelled the tie on aggregate with 2 goals in the opening 24 minutes, but Atletico stunned the visitors with a goal after 31 minutes. Barcelona piled the pressure on the Atletico goal looking for the tie-leveller, but their persistance ended when they had Eric Garcia sent off with 11 minutes to play, and the home side held on for the aggregate win. Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Bayern Munich (4) @ (5) Paris St.Germain - In arguably one of the greatest Champions League games ever, the incumbent Champions out-scored the main contenders in a shoot-out at the Parc Des Princes in Paris. Both teams went on the Offensive with 5 goals scored in the 1st half and it was PSG that took a 3-2 lead in at the half. PSG then scored 2 goals in 2 minutes to give themselves a 3-goal lead, before Bayern scored 2 goals in 3 minutes to get themselves back in the tie and give themselves a chance for the 2nd leg. Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Paris St.Germain (1) @ (1) Bayern Munich - PSG booked a place in their 2nd straight Champions League Final with a controversial win at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Bayern knew they needed a fast start to put the pressure on the Champions but it was PSG that scored first, after just 3 minutes. The home team kept the pressure on but PSG defended resolutely, and only conceded deep into stoppage time when they conceded a penalty. But the Bayern goal came too late to make a difference and PSG ran out winners. Despite being the home team, Bayern suffered at the hands of the referee who turned down penalty appeals and a red-card appeal early in the 1st half that could have changed the game. Final - Arsenal (1) v (1) Paris St.Germain - At the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary, PSG retained their Champions League title with a Penalty Shootout win over Arsenal. With the win, PSG became just the 2nd team to successfully defend their Champions League title. Arsenal got off to a great start, scoring after 6 minutes, but from that point on were happy to defend their lead. PSG couldn't find a way through until the 60th minute, when they won and converted a penalty, but a winner eluded both teams and the game went to Extra-Time and then a Penalty Shootout. And PSG prevailed, winning 4-3, as Arsenal's Eberechi Eze and Gabriel missed their kicks. The PSG goal came from Ousmane Dembele. PSG also featured Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
