The 2nd half remained a tight affair until Liverpool brought on substitute Mohammed Salah, and he sealed the win with the quickest ever Champions League hat-trick, scoring 3 goals in 6 minutes. Group G - Borussia Dortmund (1) @ (2) Manchester City - Manchester City stunned Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium to stay unbeaten in the Group. Dortmund used a great gameplan to keep the City attack quiet and took the lead themselves in the 56th minute. But after Dortmund changed their defensive shape with 12 minutes to play, City took control and 2 goals in 4 minutes sensationally turned the game around and gave them the win. In the game, City only had 3 shots on goal. The Manchester City goals came from John Stones, a stunning shot from outside the penalty box, and Erling Haaland, against his old club. Last 16, 1st Leg - Real Madrid (5) @ (2) Liverpool - In a sensational 1st Leg at Anfield, Real Madrid stunned Liverpool with a stunning comeback to take control of the tie. Liverpool started fast and held a 2-0 lead after 14 minutes. But Real Madrid fought back to send the game into half-time tied at 2-2. The 2nd half was all Real Madrid, though, and they scored 3 unanswered goals to seal the win and put themselves in control for the 2nd leg. The hero for City was star striker Erling Haaland who scored 5 goals in 57 minutes. With his 5 goals he became the fastest and youngest player to reach 30 goals in the competitions history. Quarter Final, 1st Leg - Bayern Munich (0) @ (3) Manchester City - Manchester City took control of the tie with a big win over the Germans at the Etihad Stadium. Bayern had plenty of the game, but couldn't convert their chances and City made them pay. Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Manchester City (1) @ (1) Bayern Munich - Manchester City booked their place in the Semi-Finals with a professional display at the Allianz Arena, keeping their nerve in a feisty affair. The visitors took a 4-0 aggregate lead with a 57th minute goal and effectively ended the tie as a contest. Bayern did pull a goal back in the 83rd minute but it was too late to make an impact. Semi-Final, 1st leg - Manchester City (1) @ (1) Real Madrid - In a re-match of the 2022 Semi-Final, City overcame a raucous crowd at the Bernabeu to stay in the tie. Against the run of play, Real Madrid scored with a blockbuster from Vinicius Junior to take a 1-0 lead in at the half. But City kept plugging away and equalised with a Kevin De Bruyne blockbuster of their own after 67 minutes, then defended the result to the end to give themselves a chance in the 2nd leg. Semi-Final, 2nd leg - Real Madrid (0) @ (4) Manchester City - Manchester City avenged their 2022 loss to Real Madrid with a sensational victory at the Etihad Stadium. City dominated the 1st half, humbling Real Madrid with a fantastic display of attacking football, and went in at the break with a 2-0 lead. Real Madrid were better in the 2nd half, but 2 goals in the final 14 minutes sealed the win and City's place in the Final. The City goals came from Bernardo Silva (2), Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez. Final - Manchester City (1) v (0) Inter Milan - At the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul, Manchester City completed the final part of their Treble and won their 1st ever Champions League title. City were favourites to win, but Inter Milan took it to the English Champions and dominated for long stretches. But Inter couldn't find the all-important goal and City made them pay when Rodri scored in the 68th minute. City defended the goal until the end but needed 2 outstanding saves from Goalkeeper Ederson to secure the win.
