Quarter Final, 1st Leg - Manchester City (0) @ (3) Liverpool - Liverpool took a commanding lead in the Quarter Final with a devasting display of attacking football at Anfield. 3 goals in the opening 31 minutes of the game did the damage, while a strong 2nd half defensive performance ensured Liverpool didn't concede an away goal for the 2nd leg. Quarter Final, 2nd Leg - Liverpool (2) @ (1) Manchester City - Liverpool booked their place in the Semi-Final with a contentious win at the Etihad. Ciy got off to a perfect start with a goal after 2 minutes but the game turned just before half-time when City had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside. City coach Pep Guardiola was sent to the stands, City lost momentum and Liverpool capitalised with 2 goals in the 2nd half to win the tie. The Liverpool goals came from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Roma (2) @ (5) Liverpool - In a shootout at Anfield, Liverpool took control of the Semi-Final to move within each of their first Champions League Final in 10 years. The Reds built on a 2-0 lead at the half with 3 more unanswered goals in the 2nd half, before losing concentration and conceding 2 late goals to give Roma hope for the 2nd leg. The Liverpool goals came from former Roma player Mohamed Salah (2), Roberto Firmino (2) and Sadio Mane. The Roma goals came from Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti. Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Liverpool (2) @ (4) Roma - Liverpool booked their place in the Final, but needed to hold their nerve in the Stadio Olimpico as Roma battled hard to turn the tie around. Liverpool thought they had the tie won as they went in at the break 2-1 up, but Roma scored 3 unanswered goals in the 2nd half to pull within 1 goal of a sensational fight-back, but they ran out of time and Liverpool held on for an emotional victory. The Roma goals came from Edin Dzeko, Radja Nainggolan (2) and an own-goal. Semi-Final 2nd Leg - Bayern Munich (2) @ (2) Real Madrid - In a great game of football, Real Madrid booked their place in their third straight Champions League final with a hard-fought win at the Bernabeu Stadium. Bayern Munich trailed 2-1 after the 1st leg and an early goal seemed to put them on their way to a huge upset. But Real Madrid scored the next 2 goals, meaning the Germans needed 2 unanswered goals of their own to go through. A Bayern goal 17 minutes from time made for a nervy finish for the Spanish team, but they held on to win the game and earn a place in the Final. The Real Madrid goals came from Karim Benzema (2). The Bayern Munich goals came from Joshua Kimmich and James Rodriguez (9, 48 minutes hi-lites, 1 Disc, BT Sport - Darke/Hargreaves, PAL)

Final - Real Madrid (3) v (1) Liverpool - Real Madrid made history with their 3rd straight Champions League Final win, beating Liverpool in Kiev. Liverpool had no luck in the game. First off they lost their star striker Mo Salah to injury in the 30th minute. Then 2 mistakes from the Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius gifted Real Madrid 2 goals and Liverpool couldn't recover to make a come back. The Real Madrid goals came from Karim Benzema and 2 from Gareth Bale, including a spectacular overhead kick to rival his coach, Zinedine Zidane's, from 2002. The Liverpool goal came from Sadio Mane.
