Group A - Tottenham Hotspur (3) @ (4) Inter Milan - Spurs lost their unbeaten record in the Group, humbled by a strong Inter team. Inter led 3-0 after 14 minutes and 4-0 at the half with goals from Javier Zanetti, Samuel Eto'o (2) and Dejan Stankovic. Spurs were also down to 10 men after their goalkeeper was sent off. Last 16, 1st Leg - Barcelona (1) @ (2) Arsenal - On a dramatic night in London, Arsenal recorded their 1st ever win over Barcelona with a come-from-behind win. Barcelona led 1-0 at the half with a goal from David Villa, but Arsenal took the win with 2 goals in 5 minutes late in the game from Robin Van Persie and Andrei Arshavin, both goals with great finishes. Semi-Final, 1st Leg - Barcelona (2) @ (0) Real Madrid - In an ill-tempered 1st Leg, Barcelona scored the all-important goals to take the advantage into the 2nd leg. Both goals came in the 2nd half from Lionel Messi, with his 2nd goal a superb individual effort where he beat 4 players before beating the keeper. There were 43 fouls in the game which also included a fight at half-time as the players left the field and 3 red cards including Real Madrid coach Jose Mourniho and midfielder Pepe. Final - Barcelona (3) v (1) Manchester United - Barcelona claimed their 3rd title in 6 years with a dominant display over the English champions. The teams were level at the half after a Pedro goal had been cancelled out by a Wayne Rooney goal. But the Catalans took the lead for good with a Lionel Messi goal in the 2nd half before a David Villa goal 21 minutes before the end sealed the win. Barcelona also featured Andries Iniesta, Xavi, Gerard Pique and Eric Abidal. Manchester United also featured Javier Hernandez, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes, off the bench in the 2nd half for his final game before retirement.
