Group E - Lyon (2) @ (2) Real Madrid - Thanks to goalkeeper Gregrory Coupet, Lyon secured an away draw that meant they finished top of their group. Lyon raced out to a 2-0 lead with goals from John Carew and Florent Malouda before Real Madrid started a comeback with goals from Mahamadou Diarra and Ruud Van Nistelrooy. In the final minute Real Madrid won a penalty, but Coupet guessed right and saved from Van Nistelrooy, securing top spot. Lyon also featured Juninho. Real were coached by Fabio Capello and also featured Roberto Carlos and Fabio Cannavaro (10, Spanish Commentary, 1 Disc, Real Madrid TV - Unknown, PAL)

Last 16, 2nd Leg - Barcelona (1) @ (0) Liverpool - Barcelona won the match with a 75th minute goal from Eidur Gudjohnsen but lost the tie and were knocked out on away goals. Liverpool dominated the match, hitting the bar twice and creating many chances (10, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Pleat, PAL)

Quarter Final, 1st Leg -
Bayern Munich (2) @ (2) AC Milan
- Bayern fought back from goals by Pirlo and Kaka to level the tie with the last kick of the game. The hero was defender Daniel Van Buyten who scored both the goals (10, 2 Discs, ITV - Champion/Beglin, PAL)

Quarter Final, 2nd Leg -
AS Roma (1) @ (7) Manchester United
- Losing 2-1 from the 1st leg, United needed a good start to stay in the tie. 1st half goals from Carrick, Smith, Rooney and Ronaldo (all fantastic finishes) settled the tie and 2nd half goals from Ronaldo, Carrick and Evra completed the rout (10, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Pleat, PAL)

Semi-Final, 1st Leg -
AC Milan (2) @ (3) Manchester United
- United took an early lead with a goal from Ronaldo before AC over-ran the United defence with Kaka scoring 2 goals before the break. But United fought back with 2 goals from Wayne Rooney, the last coming in the last minute of the game (10, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Pleat, PAL)

Semi-Final, 2nd Leg -
Chelsea (0) @ (1) Liverpool
- Liverpool overturned a Chelsea 1-0 lead from the 1st leg with a well taken free-kick goal from Dan Agger. But despite pressing hard for a winner, neither team could find the killer goal and the game went to penalties. Liverpool prevailed and booked a place in the final for the 2nd time in 3 years (10, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Pleat, PAL)

Final -
Liverpool (1) v (2) AC Milan - Milan finally got revenge for their 2005 loss to Liverpool with an opportunistic game. Liverpool dominated possession and chances but couldn't find the net. Milan scored just before half-time with a deflected free-kick and completed the win with a late goal from Filipo Inzaghi. Dirk Kuyt pulled back a goal in the final moments but Milan held on for the title (9, Missing the trophy presentation, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Pleat, PAL)
