- After a fraught 1st leg, Chelsea decided to take the initiative and overun Barca with 3 goals in the 1st 20 minutes. But Barca, and especially Ronaldinho, fought back and were going through on away goals when John Terry popped up and headed in the clincher with 10 minutes left (8, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Townsend, PAL)

Quarter Final, 2nd Leg -
AC Milan (1) v (0) Inter Milan
- Sensing that they were going out of the competition, the Inter fans started throwing flares on the pitch and one hit AC goalkeeper Dida on the shoulder. The game was cancelled and awarded to AC (9, 2 Discs, ITV - Drury.Beglin, PAL)

Semi-Final, 2nd Leg -
Chelsea (0) @ (1) Liverpool
- Chelsea and Liverpool faced off with a place in the final at stake. Liverpool scored with a controversial goal as a shot cleared off the line was deemed to have crossed the line. Chelsea couldn't muster a breakthrough and Liverpool held on (9, 2 Discs, ITV - Tyldesley/Townsend, PAL)

Final - Liverpool (3) v (3) AC Milan - In the most exciting European Cup final ever, Liverpool fought back from a 3-0 half-time deficit, scoring 3 goals in 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half to force Extra-Time and a penalty shootout.
