Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Bayern Munich (2) @ (5) Ajax - Ajax qualified for their 1st European Cup final in 22 years thanks to a goal explosion in Amsterdam. Ajax led 3-1 at the half thanks to goals from Jari Litmanen, Finidi George and Ronald De Boer and cruised him in the 2nd half with 2 further goals from Litmanen and Marc Overmars. Semi-Final, 2nd Leg - Manchester United (3) @ (2) Juventus - The tie was poised at 1-1 from the 1st leg and the game started badly for United as Juventus scored 2 early goals from Filipo Inzaghi to take a 3-1 lead overall. Final - Manchester United (2) v (1) Bayern Munich - United were looking to complete an unprecedented treble (FA Cup, League and European Cup) but were losing 1-0 as the game entered injury time. But 2 quick goals from the substitutes Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stunned the Germans and won the cup. United also featured David Beckham.
