1977/78
2nd Division - Bristol Rovers (0) @ (9) Tottenham Hotspur - An injury-ravaged Spurs team, missing 6 1st team regulars, made light work of Rovers in the sunshine at White Hart Lane. The heroes for Spurs were new striker Colin Lee, who scored 4 goals on debut, and Ian Moores, who scored 3 goals. The other goal-scorers were Peter Taylor and Glenn Hoddle. 1978/79
2nd Division - Newcastle (0) @ (5) West Ham - Promotion-chasing West Ham overcame their shooting slump in style with a 5 goal thrashing of Newcastle. 1st half goals from Alan Devonshire, Bryan "Pop" Robson, Frank Lampard and John McDowell ended the game as a contest early. The 2nd half saw another goal from McDowell that ended the scoring. West Ham also featured Billy Bonds, Alvin Martin and Trevor Brooking, who left the game in the 1st half with a twisted ankle. Newcastle featured Peter Withe and Terry Hibbitt (9, 25 mins hi-lites, 1 Disc, ITV - Moore, PAL)

1979/80
2nd Division - Burnley (0) @ (7) Queens Park Rangers - QPR heaped more misery on Burnley and extended their losing streak to 21 games with a dominating win at Loftus Road. QPR were ruthless in front of goal, taking virtually every chance they got. 2nd Division - Watford (1) @ (1) West Ham - West Ham salvaged a draw at Upton Park, earning a point with a late equaliser. Watford opened the scoring with a spectacular shot from outside the box by Wilf Rostron and seemed to have done enough to win the game, but 4 minutes from time Billy Bonds nodded in from close range to earn the Hammers a draw (9, 24 minutes hi-lites - On the same disc as 1979/80 Aston Villa @ West Ham FA Cup Semi-Final, ITV - Moore, PAL)

1980/81
2nd Division - Newcastle (0) @ (6) Chelsea - Chelsea came flying out of the traps to beat Newcastle at Stamford Bridge and to extend their unbeaten streak to 9 games. Chelsea created all the chances in the 1st half and took a 3-0 lead in at the break. The 2nd half was more even but Chelsea continued to score and ran out easy winners. The goals came from Colin Lee (3), Mike Fillery, Clive Walker and Gary Chivers. Chelsea were managed by Geoff Hurst. 1984/85
2nd Division - Leeds United (2) @ (5) Oxford United - League Leaders Oxford United showed their class with a come-back win at the Manor Ground. Leeds dominated the 1st half and took a 2-1 lead in at the break, but Oxford United dominated the 2nd half and scored 4 unanswered goals to take the points. The Oxford United goals came from Gary Briggs, Billy Hamilton and John Aldridge (3). The Leeds United goals came from Tommy Wright and 38 year old Peter Lorimer, who was also sent off (8, 2016 Re-Broadcast - On the same disc as the 83/84 Watford/Notts County game and the 84/85 Arsenal/Manchester United and Manchester United/Sunderland games, 23 minutes long, 1 Disc, BBC - Motson, PAL)
