5 Nations - Scotland (8) @ (10) England - England kept their unbeaten record with a comeback win at a windy Twickenham. Scotland started fast and held a 8-0 lead thanks to an early try and a drop goal from captain Ken Scotland. England fought back before the break with a try from Nick Drake-Lee and then dominated the 2nd half, taking the win with a great solo try from Richard Sharp and a game-winning conversion from John Wilcox. 5 Nations - Wales (19) @ (18) Scotland - Voted the best 5 nations game ever. The pre-dynasty Welsh with JPR Williams, Gerald Davies and Gareth Edwards, beat the Scots on a last second kick from adopted Englishman John Taylor. (9, B+W - Transfer from Official VHS, 2 Discs, BBC - McLaren/Morgan, PAL)

5 Nations - Wales (10) @ (12) Scotland - In front of a world-record crowd at Murrayfield (104,000), Scotland ended Wales' chance of a Grand Slam with an upset win. Scotland led 9-6 at the half and 12-6 in the 2nd half before Trefor Evans closed the gap 4 minutes into injury time with a great try, but the Welsh ran out of time to complete the comeback. The heroes for Scotland were the kickers, with Dougie Morgan kicking 3 penalties and Ian McGeechan adding a drop goal. Wales featured Gerald Davies, Gareth Edwards, JJ Williams, Mervyn Davies and Phil Bennett with Steve Fenwick kicking 2 penalties. 5 Nations - England (30) @ (18) Scotland - England captured their 1st Grand Slam and 5 Nations title since 1957 by winning the Calcutta cup. England were led by Bill Beaumont and featured Dusty Hare and future coach Clive Woodward. 5 Nations - Scotland (20) @ (25) Wales - In a shootout at the Cardiff Arms Park, Wales staged a big 2nd half comeback to stay unbeaten in the tournament. In a game of rampaging runs and great broken-field running, it was the Scots who held a 20-10 lead early in the 2nd half before Wales stepped up a gear and scored 15 unanswered points to take the win. The star of the show was Jonathan Davies who scored a great solo try and added 2 drop goals in the final 10 minutes to win the game. The Welsh also featured Ieuan Evans, who scored a great try, Paul Thorburn and Robert Jones. Scotland were led by Finlay Calder, David Sole, Damian Cronin, Rob Laidlaw, Gavin Hastings and Scot Hastings. 5 Nations - Ireland (3) @ (35) England - England finally found some Offense as they inflicted on the visitors their biggest ever win over the Irish. The stars of the game were Chris Oti, who scored 3 tries in his home debut, and Rory Underwood who chipped in with 2 tries. The game also marked the 1st time "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" was sung at an England match.
