2010
6 Nations - Wales (17) @ (30) England - England opened their 6 Nations campaign with a tight home win. England led 20-3 after 44 minutes with tries from James Haskell and Danny Care. But tries from Adam Jones and James Hook set up a late comeback by Wales before another James Haskell try and a Johnny Wilkinson penalty sealed the win. England wore 1910 throwback uniforms. Disc 1 is the 1 hour Tournament Preview from BBC Wales (10, 3 Discs, BBC - Butler/Moore, PAL)
6 Nations - Scotland (24) @ (31) Wales - Wales staged a remarkable comeback in the Millennium stadium, scoring 17 points in the final 5 minutes to beat the Scots. Dan Parks gave Scotland a 24-14 lead with 13 minutes left with a drop-goal from almost halfway, but this galvanised Wales and they scored a try and kicked a goal to tie the game before Shane Williams won the game with a short-range try with the last play of the game (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Cotter/Davies, PAL)
6 Nations - England (17) @ (12) Italy - England continued their unbeaten run in the championship with a tight win in Rome. A try from Matthew Tait and 3 goals from Jonny Wilkinson put England in front and a big defensive effort in the 2nd half gave England the win. All of Italy's points cam from the boot of Mirco Bergamasco (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Mullins/Moore, PAL)
6 Nations - France (26) @ (20) Wales - France continued their Grand Slam quest with a tight win over Wales. The French opened up a 20-0 lead at the half thanks to 2 intercept tries but the Welsh fought back and pulled within 6 points with a Shane Williams try in the last minute. The French then controversially and deliberately kicked the ball out at the re-start, which is illegal, and the referee blew for full-time. Shane Williams try was a Welsh record 19th try in the 5 or 6 Nations (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Mullins/Davies, PAL)
6 Nations - Ireland (20) @ (16) England - On an inclement day at Twickenham, Ireland ended the English unbeaten record with a winning try with 5 mins left. The England try came from Dan Cole while the other Irish tries came from Keith Earls and another for Tommy Bowe (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Butler/Moore, PAL)
6 Nations - England (15) @ (15) Scotland - A try-less Calcutta Cup game ended in the first draw between the 2 teams for 21 years. Scotland's points came from the boot of Dan Parks and England's points came from the boot of Jonny Wilkinson and, after he left the field injured, by his replacement Toby Flood. Flood had a chance to win the game with a kick with 2 minutes left but his kick fell short and then a last second drop goal was blocked, securing the draw (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Cotter/Moore, PAL)
6 Nations - Italy (20) @ (46) France - France continued their unbeaten streak with a big win over Italy. The French out-scored the Italians 6 tries to 2, with the tries coming from Imanol Harinordoquy, David Marty (2), Marc Andreu, Yannick Jauzion and Alexandre Lapandry (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Mullins/Henderson, PAL)
6 Nations - Scotland (23) @ (20) Ireland - The last 6 Nations game at Croke Park didn't end they way Ireland wanted, as Scotland kicked a last minute penalty for the upset win. The hero for Scotland was Dan Parks who kicked 1 Drop Goal and 5 penalties, the last of which he kicked in the last minute from the touch-line to a crescendo of boos from the Irish. The win was the first of the tournament for the Scots and denied the Irish the Triple Crown (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Cotter/Matthews, PAL)
6 Nations - England (10) @ (12) France - In the rain in Paris, France claimed their 1st Grand Slam since 2004 with a hard fought win against the old enemy, England. 6 Nations - England (26) @ (19) Wales - England won their opening game in the 6 Nations with a tight win in Cardiff, their 1st since 2003. Despite strong French pressure, England held on to take the win. 6 Nations - France (21) @ (22) Italy - In the biggest ever 6 Nations upset, Italy beat France for the 1st time ever in the 6 Nations. The hero was Mirco Bergamasco, who kicked 5 penalties, the last of which came with 3 minutes to go and gave the Italians the lead which they defended until the end. The Italian try came from Andrea Masi. The French struggled to put anything together and had to rely on Morgan Parra (1 try, 3 penalties) to stay on top right until the end. The Italians also featured captain Sergio Parrise, who had a great game (2 versions : 10, 2 Discs, BBC - Eykyn/Nicol, PAL / 9, 17 minute hi-lites on the same disc as the 2005 Ireland/Wales and 2007 Wales/Italy games, 1 Disc, BBC - Eykyn/Nicol, PAL)
6 Nations - Scotland (16) @ (22) England - England retained the Calcutta Cup and extended their unbeaten run in the tournament with a tight win against the win-less Scots. The tries came from Tommy Bowe and Brian O'Driscoll, with O'Driscoll's try setting a tournament record for tries scored (25). England's lone try came from Steve Thompson. 6 Nations - Wales (23) @ (21) Ireland - In a shootout at the Aviva stadium in Dublin, Wales snatched the win with a late penalty to open their campaign with a win. With the upset beckoning, England fought back with another charge-down try from Charlie Hodgson and 4 penalties from Owen Farrell to re-take the lead which they defended until the end to take the win. Coverage includes 40 minutes of pre-game of the postponed match between France and Ireland due to an icy pitch (10, 2 Discs, BBC - Eykyn/Dallaglio, PAL)

The Scotland defense had a big game, putting in huge hits to keep the Welsh pack in check. The Wales tries came from Leigh Halfpenny (2) and Alex Cuthbert.
