Shooting - 10M Air Pistol Mixed Team Final - Zorana Arunovic & Damir Mikec of Serbia upgraded their Olympic Silver from the Tokyo Olympics to a Gold with a tight win over Sevval Ilayda Tarhan & Yusuf Dikec of Turkey, 16-14. The final is remembered for Yusuf Dikec, the male shooter for the Silver medallists, who opted not to wear the high-tech gear of his shooting competitors, donning a simple yellow earplug and regular glasses instead, and shot with his left hand casually tucked into his pocket. Weightlifting - Womens +87Kg Final - China's Li Wenwen retained her Gold medal, holding off South Korea's Park Hye-jeong with Great Britain's Emily Campbell taking Bronze. Yee trailed Wilde by 14 seconds at the start of the final 2.5km running lap, but found a reserve of energy and overtook Wilde with just metres to go to win a remarkable Gold. Mixed Teams Triathlon - In a remarkable race, Germany, USA and Great Britain battled on the final lap for Gold, and it was the German team of Tim Hellwig, Lisa Tertsch, Lasse Luehrs and Laura Lindemann that held on for Gold, winning by 1 second. USA and Great Britain crossed the line in identical times, but a photo finish gave the Silver to the USA. The USA team featured Seth Rider, Taylor Spivey, Morgan Pearson and Taylor Knibb. Athletics - Mens 100M Final - In arguably the greatest 100M Olympic final ever, American Noah Lyles won his 1st Olympic title in a photo finish with a personal best time of 9.79 seconds. Athletics - Mens 1500M Final - In a big upset, American Cole Hocker ran a fantastic race to beat the 2 big favourites and win an unexpected Gold. The pre-race talk was all about the battle between Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Great Britain's Josh Kerr and the early going saw Ingebrigtsen go out fast in an attempt to tire out Kerr. But the early pace took a toll on Ingebrigtsen instead and he faded over the final 100M. Kerr took advantage and looked to have the race won, but Hocker stormed through in the final 30M to win on the line, and claim Gold in an Olympic record time of 3:27.65 seconds. Kerr won Silver in a British record time of 3:27.79 with American athlete Yared Nuguse winning Bronze. Ingebrigtsen finished 4th. Athletics - Womens 1500M Final - On the final night of Track and Field at the Stade de France, reigning Olympic Champion Faith Kipyegon won Gold in a new Olympic record time of 3:51.29, beating Australian Jessica Hull into Silver and Great Britain's Georgia Bell into Bronze. Tennis - Quarter Final - Andy Murray/Dan Evans (GB) v Taylor Fritz/Tommy Paul (USA) - Andy Murray's remarkable tennis career came to end in the Quarter Finals, losing to Fritz and Paul of the USA, 6-2 6-4 at the Roland Garros court. Murray had announced that he would retire from Tennis after the Olympics.
