23/08/15 - Pre-Season - Dallas Cowboys (6) @ (23) San Francisco 49ers - The 49ers played their 1st home game of the Pre-Season against an old foe and used an all-around team effort to take the win. The 49ers scored on Defense and Special Teams while the Offense amassed 205 yards to open up a 23-0 lead at the start of the 4th quarter before the Cowboys scored a late consolation TD. The 49ers scored on a 37 yard interception return by Mike Purcell and a blocked punt recovered in the end-zone by Quinton Patton. The 49ers featured QB's Colin Kaepernick (2-5-13-0), Blaine Gabbert (6-6-21-0) and Dylan Thompson (3-6-37-0), RB's Jarryd Hayne (8-54-0 + 3 punt returns for 84 yards) and Carlos Hyde (7-39-0) + LB's Navarro Bowman (3 tackles) and Shane Skov (6 tackles). 13/09/15 - Tennessee Titans (42) @ (14) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Titans opened their season with a comfortable win in Nashville. Both teams started rookie QB's making their NFL debuts, and it was the Titans Marcus Mariota (13-15-209-4) who came out on top over the Buccaneers Jameis Winston (16-33-210-2). Tennessee dominated the 1st half and held a 35-7 lead at the break. The 2nd half was no better for Tampa Bay and the Titans coasted home to the win. Tennessee also featured RB Bishop Sankey (12-74-1) and WR Kendall Wright (4-101-1). 25/10/15 - Buffalo Bills (31) @ (34) Jacksonville Jaguars - The Jaguars survived a huge comeback from the Bills to record their 1st win in 3 attempts in London. The Jaguars used a great all-around game in the 1st half to run out to a 27-3 lead in the 2nd quarter. The Defense scored 2 TD's and forced 3 turnovers in the 2nd quarter. The Bills re-grouped and scored 28 unanswered points to take a 31-27 lead with 5 minutes left in the game before the Jaguars spoiled the comeback with a game-winning TD pass with 2:16 left in the game. The Jaguars featured QB Blake Bortles (13-29-182-2), RB TJ Yeldon (20-115-1) and WR Allen Robinson (6-98-1). The Bills featured QB EJ Manuel (24-42-298-2), RB LeSean McCoy (18-68-0) and WR Robert Woods (9-84-1). 29/11/15 - New England Patriots (24) @ (30) Denver Broncos - In a snowy Sports Authority Field stadium, Denver ended the Patriots unbeaten start to the season with an overtime win. Led by QB Brock Osweiler (23-42-270-1), who was making only his 2nd career start and his 1st career home start, the Broncos came back from a 21-7 deficit in the 4th quarter to lead 24-21 with 1:09 left. The Patriots forced Overtime on the final play of the game, but the Broncos took the win with a 48 yard TD run in the extra period. The Broncos also featured RB CJ Anderson (15-113-2), WR Emmanuel Sanders (6-113-0) and a Defense that held the Patriots to 301 total yards. 16/01/16 - NFC Divisional Playoff - Green Bay Packers (20) @ (26) Arizona Cardinals - In a dramatic game in Glendale, the Cardinals upset the Packers with a clutch win in Overtime. Both teams were evenly matched through the game and with 1:55 left Arizona held a 20-13 lead. The Packers forced Overtime with a spectacular last play 41 yard "Hail Mary" TD pass but the joy was short lived, as the Cardinals 1st play of Overtime went 75 yards, setting up a 5 yard TD run to win the game. The stars for Arizona were QB Carson Palmer (25-41-349-3), RB David Johnson (15-35-0) and WR Larry Fitzgerald (8-176-1), who had a huge game. 17/01/16 - AFC Divisional Playoff - Pittsburgh Steelers (16) @ (23) Denver Broncos - The Broncos overcame a swirling wind and a 4th quarter deficit to beat the Steelers and book a place in the AFC Championship game. The Broncos found themselves down 13-12 with 10 minutes to go when the Denver Defense forced the only turnover the game and the Offense converted it into their only TD of the game. The Defense then protected the lead to the end. Denver kicker Brandon McManus set an NFL Playoff record with 5 FG's. Denver featured QB Peyton Manning (21-37-222-0), RB CJ Anderson (15-72-1), WR Emmanuel Sanders (5-85-0) and LB Danny Trevathan (9 tackles). 24/01/16 - AFC Championship - New England Patriots (18) @ (20) Denver Broncos - The Broncos once again overcame the high-scoring Patriots and booked a place in their 8th Super Bowl. Denver used a strong 1st half to take a 17-9 lead in at the half, then used great Defense in the 2nd half to keep their noses in front to the finish. New England did have a chance to tie the game and force Overtime with 12 seconds left, but a game-tieing 2 point conversion was intercepted and the Broncos celebrated the win. Denver featured QB Peyton Manning (17-32-176-2), RB CJ Anderson (16-72-0), WR's Emmanuel Sanders (5-62-0) and Owen Daniels (2-33-2) and LB Von Miller (2.5 sacks, 5 tackles).
