04/09/00 - Denver Broncos (36) @ (41) St.Louis Rams - The opening Monday Night Football game of the season saw a shootout as the defending Champion Rams held off the Broncos. Led by QB Kurt Warner (25-35-441-3) the Rams scored with 2:58 left in the game to finally put away the Broncos, who were led by QB Brian Griese (19-29-307-2). Both teams combined for 937 yards of total offense. The Rams also featured RB Marshall Faulk (14-78-1 + 4-100-1) and WR's Az-Zahir Hakim (5-116-1), Torry Holt (6-103-0) and Isaac Bruce (4-60-0). The Broncos also featured RB's Olandis Gary (13-80-0) and Terrell Davis (9-34-0) and WR's Ed McCaffrey (7-115-0) and Rod Smith (3-88-1). Regular Season - Oakland Raiders (24) @ (27) Denver Broncos - Last Monday Night Football game at Mile High Stadium. Oakland recovered from a 14 point deficit to tie the game with 1 minute remaining. Denver QB Brian Griese (25-37-262-1), playing with a separated shoulder, drove the Broncos 44 yards to the game winning FG on the last play (8, 2 Discs, ABC - Michaels/Fouts/Miller, PAL)

19/11/00 - San Diego Chargers (37) @ (38) Denver Broncos - A wild shootout full of big plays went the way of the Broncos, as they rallied from a 24-10 deficit at the half to win. The winless Chargers (0-10) were led by QB Ryan Leaf (13-27-311-3) and he threw TD passes of 45, 68 and 83 yards while the defense chipped in with a 75 yard interception return for a TD. But the Broncos rallied in the 2nd half with back-up QB Gus Frerotte (36-58-462-5) having a huge game and he threw the winning TD pass with 1:33 left. He was supported by WR's Ed McCaffrey (10-148-2) and Rod Smith (11-187-1) + RB Mike Anderson (19-97-0), subbing for an injured Terrell Davis (8, Player-to-Recorder copy, 2 Discs, CBS - Criqui/Tasker, NTSC)

Regular Season - Miami Dolphins (37) @ (40) New York Jets - The Jets pulled off the greatest comeback ever on Monday Night Football, scoring 30 points in the 4th Quarter to force overtime. The tieing TD came from a catch by Offensive Lineman Jumbo Elliott. The Jets then ended the game with a John Hall FG. Regular Season -
St.Louis Rams (35) @ (38) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Both teams needed a win to make the playoffs and played with an intensity to match the occasion. The hero of the game was Bucs RB Warrick Dunn (145 yds + 3 TD's) who helped the Bucs to 488 yards of total offense. Rams QB Kurt Warner abd RB Marshall Faulk played their part in the wild offensive show-down but the Bucs scored in the final minute to secure the win (8, 2 DIscs, ABC - Michaels/Fouts/Miller, PAL)

Chicago Bears (0) @ (17) San Francisco 49ers - In the last home game for 49ers WR Jerry Rice (7-76), he was upstaged by team-mate WR Terrell Owens. Owens caught an NFL record 20 passes for 283 yards and 1 TD as the 49ers shut-out the Bears. 49ers QB Jeff Garcia (36-44-402-2) out-shone Chicago QB Cade McNown (9-29-73-0) (9, 2 Discs, FOX - Summerall/Madden/Johnson, PAL)

23/12/00 - San Francisco 49ers (9) @ (38) Denver Broncos - On an emotional day, the Broncos dominated the 49ers in the final game at Mile High Stadium. The Broncos led 17-0 at the half, and with the Denver defense in good form (holding the 49ers to 192 total yards of Offense), they coasted home in the 2nd half. The Broncos were led on Offense by QB Gus Frerotte (18-29-205-0), RB Mike Anderson (26-85-2) + WR's Ed McCaffrey (5-71-1) and Rod Smith (8-80-) and on Defense by LB Bill Romanowski (7 tackles, 1 sack). The 49ers were led by QB Jeff Garcia (18-40-188-1) and WR Jerry Rice (6-61-0). The game proved to be the last game as a 49er for Rice.
