31/12/61 - NFL Championship -
Green Bay Packers (37) v (0) New York Giants - In the 1st ever title game played in Green Bay, the Vince Lombardi-led Packers shut-down the New York Giants. The Packer offense, led by QB Bart Starr (10-17-164-3), RB's Paul Hornung (20-89-1 and 3 FGs) and Jim Taylor (14-69) shredded the top ranked defense of the Giants while the Packer defense, led by LB Ray Nitschke and DB Hank Gremminger, intercepted 4 passes and recovered 1 fumble. The title was Vince Lombardi's 1st (7, Black and White, 2 Discs, ABC - Nelson/Schenkle, PAL)

1962
23/12/62 - AFL Championship - Dallas Texans (20) v (17) Houston Oilers - In the longest Championship game ever, the Texans won their 1st AFL title in the battle of 2 Texas teams. In a tale of 2 halves, the Texans had the better of the 1st half and led 17-0 at the break while the Oilers fought back in the 2nd half with 17 unanswered points to force Overtime. The 1st overtime went scoreless but in the 2nd overtime, the Texans got into FG range and kicked the game-winner. The Texans featured QB Len Dawson, RB's Abner Haynes and Curtis McClinton and DL EJ Holub. The Oilers featured QB George Blanda and RB's Charlie Tolar and Billy Cannon (7, Black and White, 2 Discs, ABC - Gowdy/Christman/Buck, NTSC)

1963
15/09/63 - New York Giants (37) @ (28) Baltimore Colts - In the opening week of the season, the Giants visited Baltimore's Memorial Stadium and left with a shootout win. The Colts, led by QB Johnny Unitas (19-33-219-2) raced out to a 21-3 lead early in the 2nd quarter, but Giants QB YA Tittle (16-23-243-3 + 5-24-1) threw 3 TD passes to bring the Giants to within 28-24 at the half. In the 3rd quarter, Tittle put the Giants in the lead for good with a 9 yard TD run but injured his ribs and left the game. The Giants Defense sealed the win, pitching a 2nd half shutout. New York also featured RB's Alex Webster (15-60-1) and Hugh McElhenny (3-6-0), WR's Phil King (5-101-1) and Del Shofner (5-85-0) + LB Sam Huff. The Colts were led by coach Don Shula, in his 1st game as Head Coach, RB Tom Matte (10-26-0), WR's Jimmy Orr (5-83-1), John Mackey (2-46-1) and Raymond Berry (4-33-0) + DL Gino Marchetti. 13/11/66 - San Francisco 49ers (30) @ (30) Chicago Bears - A battle between 2 under-achieving teams ended in a draw as the 49ers used a last minute drive to kick the game-tieing FG with 5 seconds left. 33 points were scored in the final quarter as the Bears, led on Offense by QB Rudy Bukich (8-21-154-2) and RB Gale Sayers (14-87-0 + 2-48-1), took a 10 point lead before the 49ers, led on Offense by QB John Brodie (28-54-327-0), RB's Ken Willard (17-56-3) and John David Crow (12-55-0) and WR's Dave Parks (7-51-0) and Bernie Casey (12-225-0), fought back to take the tie. The Bears also featured DL Ed O'Bradovich and LB Dick Butkus (9, 28 minutes long - Narrated colour game film, 1 Disc, NTSC)
