Louisiana Div-2A Playoff - Episcopal Knights (14) @ (41) Isidore Newman Greenies - Newman advanced to the next round of the playoffs with a comfortable win over the Knights. After falling behind 7-0 in the 1st quarter, the Greenies found their rhythm and scored 35 unanswered points to take the win. Newman were led by QB Peyton Manning (21-24-218-1 + 2 TD runs) and also featured RB Cameron Johnson (15-121-2) and WR Chip Abbott (7-73-0). Episcopal were led by QB Steve Underwood (2 TD passes) and DB Jimmy Williams. Louisiana Div-5A Semi-Final - West Monroe Rebels (21) v (14) Catholic Bears - The Rebels, led by FB Tommy Banks (LSU), slowed down the Offensive steamroller of the Catholic Bears with ball control Offense and stought Defense. Louisiana Div-2A Quarter Final - Isidore Newman Greenies (14) @ (30) Riverside Academy Rebels - Riverside continued their march to the State Finals with a comprehensive win over the visting Greenies. The Rebels, spurred on by a fired-up crowd, used a strong running game to open up a 24-0 lead at the half and despite a brief 2nd half fightback by Newman, they coasted home to the win. The Greenies were led by QB Eli Manning (2 TD passes inc. a 66 yarder) who was playing his final High School game. Louisiana Div-3A Final - Evangel Christian Eagles (28) v (14) Independence Tigers - Despite missing their best player, RB LaBrandon Toefield, the Tigers put up a fight against the reigning champions. QB Antron Seiber made big plays all night but was overshadowed by Evangel QB Brock Berlin (20-28-274-2), who had a hand in all the Eagles TD's as he led the comeback against the underdog Tigers (7, Occasional jumpy picture, 2 Discs, LHSAA - Duhon/Nadeau, NTSC)

Louisiana Div-5A Final - Evangel Christian Eagles (34) v (27) West Monroe Rebels - In arguably the greatest 5A final ever, the 2 major powers of recent years fought toe-to-toe for the title. Evangel were led by QB John David Booty (25-40-339-4) and he had a stellar game leading the Eagles from behind in the 4th quarter for the win (7, Occasional jumpy picture, 2 Discs, LHSAA - McCain/Green/Musemeche, NTSC)

Louisiana Div-1 Final - Catholic Bears (31) v (28) Archbishop Rummel Raiders - Catholic claimed their 1st ever state title with a sensational finish in the Superdome in New Orleans. Rummel were looking for their 3rd title in 4 years but Catholic were not overwhelmed and went in at the half tied 14-14. After a scoreless 3rd quarter, both teams combined for 31 points in the 4th quarter with Catholic winning the game on a last play 34 yard FG. Catholic were led by QB Ian Brian (25-34-340-3) and RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (88 yards rushing, 161 yards receiving).
