Big 33 Classic - Maryland (28) v (42) Pennsylvania - In front of 19,000 people at Hershey Park, Pennsylvania rallied from an early deficit to beat the visting Maryland all-stars. Maryland jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the 1st quarter as Pennsylvania struggled for Offensive consistency. But the home side fought back to trail only 28-14 at the half before dominating the 2nd half on both sides of the ball to pull away and take the win. The Pennsylvania all-stars featured QB's Kerry Collins (9-15-208-3) and Frank Costa (9-13-182-1), RB's Chad Wiestling and Andre Coleman, WR's Kyle Brady (1 TD catch) and Priest Ramsey (5-148-2), DL Mike Frederick (2 sacks, 1 forced fumble), LB's Brian Gelzheiser and Doug Whaley and DB Ricardo Harris (2 interceptions). 27/06/99 - CalTex Shrine Bowl - California (28) v (25) Texas - California were coasting to an easy win when the Texas team starting to pull the game back and finally took the lead in the 4th quarter. Up stepped Cal-bound QB Kyle Boller (9-18-105-2) to throw a 36 yard Hail Mary pass on the last play to steal the win. The play was controversial as both the WR and a DB had their hands on the ball as they came down but the refs awarded possession to the Offense. 23/06/01 - CaliFlorida Bowl II - California All Stars (14) v (17) Florida All Stars - Florida won the 2nd annual High School All Star game between California and Florida thanks to a big game from QB Adrian McPherson (14-21-243-2). Florida never trailed, leading 10-7 at the half, and held off a late charge with an interception in the end-zone with 25 seconds left to win the game. Florida also featured WR Craphonso Thorpe, WR Charles Frederick, DB Kyler Hall, DB Sean Taylor and DB Dominic Robinson. The West team led 23-6 in the 4th quarter before East QB Cole Marcoux (5-8-99-2) led a small comeback that made the score a little more respectable. The West led 10-3 in the 4th quarter before the East, led by MVP RB Demetrius Hart (8-101-0), scored 2 TD's to steal the win. The game was dominated by the Defenses' as the East registered 12 sacks, and the West had the outstanding defensive player in DB De’Anthony Thomas (8 tackles, 1 interception). The West scored all their points in the 1st half to lead 24-6 at the break, then used a big Defensive effort (4 turnovers) to keep the East from coming back into the game. The co-MVP's of the game were West QB Cyler Miles (7-8-155-1 + 1 TD run) and West WR Dorial Green-Beckham (79 yard TD catch). The West also featured RB's Trey Williams, T.J. 05/01/13 - US Army Bowl - East (15) v (8) West - In a tight Defensive game in the Alamodome, the East made the most of their chances to beat the West. The East dominated early, taking in a 7-0 lead at the half, but after the West took the lead 8-7 with 6 minutes left, the East used a 72 yard kick-off return to set up the game-winning 34 yard TD pass on 4th down to win the game with 4 minutes remaining. The MVP of the game was East WR James Quick (3-71-1) who scored the game-winning TD. The East also featured on Offense QB Jeremy Johnson and RB's Derrick Henry (11-53-1) and RB Derrick Green (8-49-0). The East defense held the West to 90 total Offensive yards and was led by DB Tray Matthews (4 tackles) and LB Johnny O'Neal (4 tackles). 04/01/14 - San Antonio Sports All Star Game - East (53) v (35) West - The annual battle of San Antonio seniors went the way of the East, with Cibolo Steele RB Justin Stockton taking MVP honours. Stockton, committed to Texas Tech, scored 5 TD's (3 kick returns of 85, 95 and 98 yards + 2 TD runs). The West dominated time of possession and Offensive yardage and led 21-20 at the half, but the East dominated the 3rd quarter, scoring 19 uanswered points, and coasted home to the win. The East also featured QB Cody Ennis (Abilene Christian), RB Vincent Gill, WR Byron Daniels (Texas Tech), DL Joshua Malin (Baylor) and DB Ramon Richards (Oklahoma State). 03/01/15 - US Army Bowl - West (39) v (36) East - In the highest scoring US Army Bowl ever, the West held off a furious fight-back from the East to take the win. The West dominated the 1st half and led 33-9 at the break. The East steadied the ship in the 3rd quarter and in the 4th quarter outscored the West 27-3 to pull within 3 points, but the West found a last bit of Defense to turn away the East and avoid the upset. The MVP was West RB Derrius Guice (2 TD catches). The West also featured QB's Brady White, Ricky Towns and Travis Waller, RB Mike Weber and WR Derrick Dillon. The first half was dominated by the defenses and the teams went in tied 3-3 at the break. The East team scored first in the 2nd half to go up 10-3 but the West countered with 14 unanswered points to take control of the game. The East scored again in the final minute to pull within 1 point, but opted for a game-winning 2 point conversion instead of the tie. The play failed and the West hung on for the win. 02/01/20 - Under Armour All American Game - Team Savage (24) v (30) Team Pressure - At Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, Team Pressure defeated Team Savage in a shootout. Team Pressure, coached by former NFL DB Ed Reed, dominated the 1st half and took a 17-3 lead in at the break. Team Savage, coached by former NFL DB Deion Sanders, finally found some Offense in the 2nd half as the teams traded scores, and in the end, Team Pressure needed a last minute goal-line stand to take the win. The game MVP was #1 RB recruit Zach Evans, who had 64 yards and a touchdown on the ground and added a 19-yard reception for Team Pressure. Team Pressure also featured QB's Jeff Sims, Hudson Card and Chandler Morris, RB E.J.
