31/08/07 - Washington (42) @ (12) Syracuse - Washington QB Jake Locker (14-19-142-0) finally made his debut and, after a shaky start, put in a solid performance to lead the Huskies in a rout. Syracuse also debuted a new starting QB, Andrew Robinson (20-32-199-1) but he had no help from his team-mates and he was sacked 7 times (9, Missing first 2 minutes of 4th quarter, 2 Discs, ESPN - McDonough/Spielman/Cowherd, PAL)

01/09/07 - Western Kentucky (3) @ (49) Florida - In the opening game of the season, Florida started the Tim Tebow era with a big win. Tebow (13-17-300-3 + 8-38-1) started his 1st game for the Gators and led Florida to a 28-3 lead at the half before leaving the game in the 4th quarter, giving way to Freshman QB Cam Newton (3-4-25-0 + 2-5-1). The Gators also featured RB Kestahn Moore (16-91-2), WR Riley Cooper 4 122-2) and LB Brandon Spikes (11 tackles). Western Kentucky were led by back-up QB K.J. Black (10-13-102-0) but had a tough day all-around, giving up 510 yards of total offense. Appalachian State (34) @ (32) Michigan
- In arguably the greatest upset in College Football history, Div-1AA Appalachian State kicked a FG with 20 seconds left to take the lead and blocked a last play Michigan FG to seal the win. Appalachian State QB Armanti Edwards (17-23-227-3) had a huge game while Michigan QB Chad Henne (19-37-233-1) and RB Mike Hart (23-188-3) had big games but couldn't play defense (10, 4 Discs, Big 10 network - Brennaman/Davis/Thompson, NTSC)

01/09/07 - UCLA (45) @ (17) Stanford - In the opening game of the season for both teams, #14 ranked UCLA upset the 1st game as coach of Stanford for Jim Harbaugh. After a slow 1st half that saw Stanford leading 14-7 at the break, UCLA exploded on Offense, out-scoring the Cardinal 31-10 in the 2nd half to take the win. UCLA QB Ben Olson (16-29-286-5) had a huge game and was well supported by RB Kahlil Bell (19-195-0). Texas Tech (49) @ (9) SMU
- Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell (44-59-419-4) picked up where he left off in 2006 with a confident display in picking apart the SMU defense. His favourite target was redshirt Freshman WR Michael Crabtree (12-106-3) who had a sensational college debut (10, 1 Disc, ESPN - LaMont/Hasty/Stone, PAL)

Florida State (18) @ (24) Clemson
- In Bowden Bowl 9, Clemson raced into a 24-3 half-time lead and survived a late rally by the Noles to win their season opener. Clemson QB Cullen Harper (14-24-160-2) had a strong debut for the Tigers (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Patrick/Blackledge/Rowe, PAL)

06/09/07 -
Middle Tennessee State (42) @ (58) Louisville
- In a wild offensive game full of big plays, it was #9 ranked Louisville that finally found some defense to close out the game and seal the win. Both teams combined for 1284 yards of total offense and 13 TD's. Louisville QB Brian Brohm (25-39-401-5) had a career high in passing yards as the Cardinals scored on TD passes of 81 and 71 yards. 08/09/07 -
Notre Dame (10) @ (31) Penn State
- Penn State gained revenge for their 2006 beatdown with a dominating performance against the Irish. The Nittany Lions defense held the Irish to zero yards rushing while restricting Freshman QB Jimmy Clausen (17-32-144-0), in his 1st collegeiate start, to short completions. The Irish scored their TD on a 73 yard interception return while Penn State countered with a 78 yard punt return TD (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Patrick/Blackledge/Rowe, PAL)

Hawaii (45) @ (44) Louisiana Tech
- Hawaii QB Colt Brennan (43-61-548-4) had a huge game but needed a late FG to send the game into overtime. Hawaii escaped with the win when Louisiana Tech failed on a 2 point play that would have given them the win (10, 3 Discs, ESPN+ - Bender/Nadeau, NTSC)

Oklahoma State (23) @ (41) Troy
- Troy totally outplayed the Cowboys as Trojans QB Omar Haugabook (33-48-371-1) had a career night. The Cowboys started their back-up QB, Zac Robinson, and he threw 2 interceptions while the offense lost 3 fumbles (9, Re-broadcast missing 5 mins of game time in each quarter, 2 Discs, ESPN - McDonough/Spielman/Schad, PAL)

Louisville (34) @ (40) Kentucky
- Kentucky finally beat their arch-enemy for the first time in 4 years thanks to a 57 yard TD pass from Kentucky QB Andre Woodson (30-44-275-4) to WR Steve Johnson (3-65-2) with 28 secs left. Louisville QB Brian Brohm (28-43-366-2) had a good game in defeat but was let down by his defense (10, 2 Discs, ESPN - Collins/Curry, PAL)

USC (49) @ (31) Nebraska
- In this much anticipated match-up, #1 USC dominated #14 Nebraska with 313 yards rushing, with Stafon Johnson (11-144-1) leading the way. Nebraska stayed close for a half, as QB Sam Keller (36-54-389-2) kept the Trojan defense guessing. But USC put the game away in the 2nd half, outscoring Nebraska 21-0 in the 3rd quarter (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Musberger/Herbstreit/Salters, PAL)

Tennessee (20) @ (59) Florida
- In his first real test as the Gators QB, Tim Tebow (14-19-299-2 + 18-61-2) did not disappoint. Florida started the game with a bang, as Brandon James returned the 1st punt of the game 83 yards for a TD. BYU (47) @ (55) Tulsa
- A wild shootout resulted in 1289 yards of total offense and 14 TD's. BYU QB Max Hall (34-57-537-4) had a huge game but was undone by 2 interceptions and 4 fumbles, the last one coming on a last minute drive to save the game. Syracuse (38) @ (35) Louisville
- Syracuse scored a huge upset by building on a 21-7 half-time lead to hold on against the 18th ranked Cardinals. Syracuse QB Andrew Robinson (17-26-423-4), making his 4th start, threw for a school-record 4 TD passes including 79, 60 and 42 yard TD passes. Louisville QB Brian Brohm (45-65-555-4) threw for a career high in yards but couldn't complete the 4th quarter comeback (9, 2 Discs, ESPN+ - Wischusen/Congemi/Kessenich, PAL)

Texas Tech (45) @ (49) Oklahoma State
- In a fantastic shootout, the Cowboys won the game in the last 2 minutes with a sensational 54 yard TD pass. Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell (46-67-646-5) threw for the 4th highest ever yardage with WR's Michael Crabtree (14-237-3) and Danny Amendola (14-233-1) his favourite targets. But  the defense failed to hold off the Pokes late in the game and wasted the offensive performance. After the game, Texas Tech fired their defensive co-ordinator (10, 1 Disc, FOX - Meyers/Lapham/Knox, PAL)

22/09/07 - Georgia Tech (23) @ (28) Virginia - The Cavaliers continued their home field hex over Georgia Tech with a tight win in Scott Stadium. Virginia raced out to a 21-7 lead in the 1st quarter with QB Jameel Sewell (16-25-177-1) and RB Cedric Peerman (28-144-1) leading the way. But the Yellow Jackets re-grouped and took a 23-21 lead in the 3rd quarter. At this point the Cavaliers star defender, DL Chris Long (9 tackles, 1 sack, 3 pass break-ups), and the rest of the Defense took over and the Cavaliers used a muffed punt to set up the go-ahead TD and held on for the win (9, Slight Pixellation, 1 Disc, ESPN U - Matvik/Coker, NTSC)

22/09/07 - Ball State (40) @ (41) Nebraska - Nebraska narrowly avoided a home loss to the MAC as they survived a 55 yard FG attempt with 17 seconds remaining to take the win. Both teams Offense's were red-hot with Nebraska QB Sam Keller (29-37-438-3) and Ball State QB Nate Davis (26-43-422-3) having big games. Ball State actually led 37-28 in the 4th quarter before Nebraska capitalised on an INT returned for a TD and Keller's final TD pass to take the win (9, Slight Pixellation, 1 Disc, FOX - Sharpe/Davison/Paetz, NTSC)

22/09/07 - Duke (43) @ (46) Navy - Navy cameback from a 43-32 deficit in the 4th quarter and won on a last play 44 yard FG by the back-up kicker. Duke used a career passing day from QB Thaddeus Lewis (23-36-428-4) and big plays to take the lead but Navy QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada (11-16-217-1), who had a career high in passing yards, led the comeback and denied Duke a 2nd consecutive win (10, 2 Discs, CSTV - Medhurst/Zolak, NTSC)

22/09/07 - Georgia (26) @ (23) Alabama - #22 ranked Georgia upset #16 ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa, but needed Overtime to do so. Georgia dominated the first half with ball-control football and ran up a 10-3 lead at the half. Georgia still held a 20-10 lead with 6.5 minutes to play in the game but Alabama suddenly found some Offense and momentum and scored 10 unanswered points to force Overtime. A Tide FG wasn't enough, though, as Georgia scored a TD on their possession and escaped Bryant-Denny Stadium with a win. Georgia featured QB Matthew Stafford (19-35-224-2), RB's Knowshon Moreno (17-74-1) and Thomas Brown (20-74-0) and LB Dannell Ellerbe. 28/09/07 - West Virginia (13) @ (21) South Florida - A sold out Raymond James stadium in Tampa saw the Bulls upset the #5 ranked Mountaineers with a strong defensive outing that forced 6 turnovers and knocked starting West Virginia QB Pat White out of the game. Bulls QB Matt Grothe (11-20-135-1) had a big game as did LB Ben Moffitt (2 intrerceptions, 1 TD return) as the Bulls held off a late rally from back-up QB Jarrett Brown (11-20-149-1) (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - McDonough/Spileman/Stone, PAL)

Auburn (20) @ (17) Florida
- Auburn stunned #4 ranked Florida with a strong defensive performance that limited the Gators to 312 yards of total offense and then used a twice-taken last play 43 yard FG to win the game. Florida QB Tim Tebow (20-27-201-1 + 19-75-1) had a good game and brought the Gators back from a 17-3 deficit to tie the game in the 4th quarter (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Patrick/Blackledge/Rowe, PAL)

30/09/07 - Washington State (20) @ (48) Arizona - In a shootout in Tucson, the Wildcats used a strong 2nd half to overcome the Cougars and take the win. Both teams combined for 985 yards of total Offense and 10 TD's. Arizona had the better of the 1st half and held a 20-7 lead coming up to the break. But the Cougars rallied with 2 TDs to pull level, before the Wildcats pulled away with 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half to take the victory. Arizona featured QB Willie Tuitama (22-31-346-5), RB Nic Grigsby (30-186-0 + 9-76-1), WR Terrell Turner (2-87-0) and Freshman TE Rob Gronkowski (4-115-2), who scored his first career TD. 06/10/07 - Florida (24) @ (28) LSU - In a huge SEC match-up, #1 LSU scored a 2 yard TD run in the final minute to beat the defending champions and #9 ranked Gators. Stanford (24) @ (23) USC
- In a huge upset, Stanford beat #2 ranked USC on their home field on the arm of back-up QB Tavita Pritchard (11-30-149-1), who was making his 1st college start. Pritchard shrugged off a slow start and won the game with 44 seconds left when he threw a 10 yard TD pass on 4th down. USC QB John David Booty (24-40-364-2) had big numbers but was intercepted 4 times, the last one on USC's final drive (10, 2 Discs, Versus - Thulin/Stouffer/Johnson, NTSC)

Texas A&M (7) @ (35) Texas Tech
- Tech spotted A&M a 7 point 1st quarter lead then scored 35 unanswered to beat their big rivals. Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell (30-37-425-3) had a big game but it was the defense that won the game (10, JIP 1Q TAM 7-0, 1 Disc, ABC - Franklin/Cunningham/Arute, PAL)

LSU (37) @ (43) Kentucky
- Kentucky stunned the #1 team in the country by taking them to 3 overtimes. LSU rushed for 261 yards but couldn't convert on their final possesion on 4th down. Wildcats QB Andre Woodson (21-38-250-3) had a big game (9, 2 Discs, CBS - Lundquist/Danielson/Wolfson, PAL)

Rice (48) @ (56) Houston
- In a spectacular offensive display, Houston cameback from a 48-35 deficit in the 4th quarter to win the Bayou Bucket. The stars for the Cougars were RB Anthony Aldridge (24-205-4) and WR Donnie Avery (13-346-2). The duo set an NCAA record as Houaton became the first team ever to have a 200 yard rusher and a 300 yard receiver. Rice WR Jarrett Dillard (7-133-1) also had a good game in defeat (10, 2 Discs, CSTV - Hart/Alberts, NTSC)

14/10/07 - Nevada (67) @ (69) Boise State - In a shootout in Boise, the underdog Wolfpack gave the Broncos all they could handle as both teams amassed 1,266 yards of total offense and had to go to 4 overtimes to settle on a winner. Regular time ended 44-44 as Broncos kicker Kyle Brotzman kicked a 27 yard FG on the final play of the 4th quarter. Both teams were unstoppable as Boise QB Taylor Tharp (26-35-320-4) and RB Ian Johnson (28-205-2) went toe-to-toe with Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick (11-26-243-3 + 14-177-2) and it took a defensive play to end the game as Kaepernick was sacked on a 2 point play trying to force a 5th overtime (10, 2 Discs, ESPN - Collins/Curry/Ryan, NTSC)

South Florida (27) @ (30) Rutgers
- Rutgers ended the cinderella run of the #2 ranked Bulls with a hard fought win. The Scarlet Knights hero was RB Ray Rice (39-181-0) while South Florida QB Matt Groethe (17-34-247-1) had a huge game in defeat (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Fowler/James/Flutie/Andrews, PAL)

Auburn (24) @ (30) LSU
- LSU secured the win with a sensational 22 yard TD pass with 1 second left. LSU coach Les Miles passed up the game-winning FG to attempt 1 last try at the end-zone. LSU QB Matt Flynn (22-34-319-3) was the hero (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Patrick/Blackledge/Rowe, PAL)

20/10/07 - Florida Atlantic (39) @ (32) Louisiana-Lafayette - In a shootout, Florida Atlantic took a feisty Louisiana-Lafayette team to overtime before ending the game with a big defensive stand. The Ragin Cajuns took a 32-25 lead on QB Michael Desormeaux's (14-22-121-0 + 23-145-2) 32 yard TD run with 1:03 remaining but left just enough time for FAU QB Rusty Smith (26-45-308-4) to make the game-tieing 17 yard TD pass with 7 seconds left and force Overtime. 20/10/07 - Texas Tech (10) @ (41) Missouri - Missouri ended #21 ranked Texas Tech's 3 game win streak with a beatdown in Columbia. A tight 1st half ended 17-10 in Missouri's favour and they then held the Red Raiders scoreless in the 2nd half while putting up 3 TD's of their own to take an easy win. Missouri were led by QB Chase Daniel (14-19-210-1), RB Jimmy Jackson (12-59-3) and DB Cornelius Brown (14 tackles, 1 interception). Texas Tech were led by QB Graham Harrell (44-69-397-1) and WR's Danny Amendola (11-94-0) and Michael Crabtree (10-76-0) (9, JIP 13:33 1st Quarter - No scoring missed, 1 Disc, ABC - Wischusen/Hasty/Welch, PAL)

20/10/07 - Hawaii (42) @ (35) San Jose State - #16 ranked and unbeaten Hawaii had to rally from a 14 point deficit in the final 4 minutes to force Overtime where they managed to end the upset bid by the Spartans. Led by QB Adam Tafralis (27-47-302-2), San Jose went toe-to-toe with the Warriors and held a 35-21 lead late in the game before Hawaii QB Colt Brennan (44-75-545-4) brought the Warriors back, scoring the tieing TD with 31 seconds left on a 2 yard run. A re-energised Warriors team then finished the job in Overtime to escape with the win. Hawaii also featured WR's Jason Rivers (12-138-1) and Davone Bess (12-140-1). San Jose State also featured WR Kevin Jurovich (7-117-2) and DB Dwight Lowery (84 yard punt return TD + 24 yard interception return TD) (9, 1 Disc, ESPN - McDonough/Spielman/Stone, PAL)

25/10/07 - Boston College (14) @ (10) Virginia Tech - #2 ranked Boston College miraculously maintained their unbeaten record with 2 TD passes in the final 2 minutes to beat the #8 ranked Hokies. Virginia Tech took a 7-0 lead in at the half thanks to a TD pass from QB Sean Glennon (15-25-149-1) and the Hokies looked like making the upset until BC QB Matt Ryan (25-52-285-2) finally started to find his rhythm. Ryan threw a 16 yard TD pass with 2:11 left, the Eagles recovered an onside kick, then Ryan threw his 2nd TD pass with 11 seconds left to win the game (10, 2 Discs, ESPN - Fowler/James/Blackledge, NTSC)

Georgia (42) v (30) Florida
- Georgia beat Florida for only the 3rd time in 18 years behind the rushing of Redshirt Freshman RB Knowshon Moreno (33-188-3) and the passing of Sophomore QB Matthew Stafford (11-18-217-3). Florida were handicapped by a shoulder injury to QB Tim Tebow (14-22-236-1) who still played a great game (9, 2 Discs, CBS - Lundquist/Danielson/Wolfson, PAL)

27/10/07 - Colorado (31) @ (26) Texas Tech - Colorado stunned Texas Tech, using a strong rushing attack to win in Lubbock. The Buffaloes ran the ball on 44 of their 71 plays, led by RB Hugh Charles (20-121-1), while QB Cody Hawkins (15-26-123-2) pulled the strings in the passing game. Colorado took a 31-13 lead in the 3rd quarter before the Red Raiders mounted a comeback that fell short as time ran out. The Buffs Defense had a big game, forcing 4 interceptions, with DB Terrence Wheatley catching 3 of them. Texas Tech were led by QB Graham Harrell (46-62-431-3), WR Michael Crabtree (12-131-1) and LB Brian Duncan (8 tackles) (9, 1 Disc, ABC - Fouts/Brandt/Harris, PAL)

30/10/07 - Delaware (59) @ (52) Navy - In a shootout at Marine Corps Stadium, the Blue Hens came out on top. Both teams combined for 1,087 yards of Total Offense with the big stars from both teams having big games. Delaware were led by QB Joe Flacco (30-41-434-4) and RB Omar Cuff (28-141-4) while Navy were led by QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada (1-2-8-0 + 20-72-2) and RB Reggie Campbell (219 all-purpose yards including 1 TD run). Both teams were tied at 28-28 at the half but Delaware managed to get their noses in front in the 3rd quarter and held off a late rally by Navy to take the win (9, Transfer from VHS - Next day re-broadcast, 2 Discs, CSTV - Medhurst/Zolak, NTSC)

03/11/07 - Nebraska (39) @ (76) Kansas - On a record-setting day in Lawrence, in front of a record home crowd, #8 ranked Kansas heaped more misery on the Cornhuskers with a big win. The 76 points conceded by Nebraska was the most ever in their 117 year history. Both teams were evenly matched in the 1st quarter, but Kansas out-scored Nebraska 48-17 over the 2nd and 3rd quarters to take the win. The Jayhawks were led by QB Todd Reesing (30-41-354-6) whose 6 TD passes were a team single-game record. Kansas also featured RB Brandon McAnderson (25-119-4) and WR Marcus Henry (6-101-1). The Defense also chipped in with 5 turnovers. LSU (41) @ (34) Alabama - Alabama coach Nick Saban faced his old team for the first time since leaving and almost forced an upset win, but #3 ranked LSU scored 14 points in the final 3 minutes to secure the win. The LSU defense restricted Alabama to just 20 yards rushing (9, 2 Discs, CBS - Lundquist/Danielson/Wolfson, PAL)

Texas (38) @ (35) Oklahoma State
- Texas fought back from an early 21-0 deficit to win the game on a 40 yard FG on the last play of the game. The Texas hero was RB Jamaal Charles (16-180-3) who also scored on a 75 yard TD run (9, 2 Discs, ESPN - Lamont/Palmer/Welch, PAL)

Navy (46) @ (44) Notre Dame
- Navy ended a 43 game losing streak to Notre Dame as they took the Irish into 3 overtimes and stopped them on a 2 point conversion to win. The Navy heroes were QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada (6-8-82-1 + 12-47-0) and LB Chris Kuhar-Pitters, who had a crucial and sensational sack on Notre Dame's final drive in regulation. Notre Dame QB Evan Sharpley (17-28-139-2) and RB James Aldridge (32-124-0) had good games in defeat (10, 2 Discs, NBC - Hammond/Haden/Flanagan, NTSC)

Louisville (31) @ (38) West Virginia
- Louisville fought back from a 17 point deficit in the 2nd half to tie the game but #6 ranked West Virginia QB Pat White (16-25-181-2 + 24-147-1) sealed the win with a 50 yard TD run with 1:36 left. Illinois (28) @ (21) Ohio State
- Illinois upset the #1 ranked Buckeyes as QB Juice Williams threw for 4 TD passes. The Illini were paced by QB Williams (12-22-140-4 + 16-70) and RB's Daniel Dufrene (8-106-0) and Rashard Mendenhall (26-88). Oregon (24) @ (34) Arizona - In a wild game in the desert, Arizona upset #2 ranked Oregon and knocked them out of the National Championship game. Oregon lost their starting QB Dennis Dixon (5-8-62-0 + 2-34-1) to a knee injury in the 1st quarter and, despite the play of back-up QB Brady Leaf (22-46-163-0), never managed to recover. The Wildcats led 31-14 at the half and scored on a 56 yard punt return for a TD and a 42 yard interception return for a TD, both by DB Antoine Cason. 26/01/08 - Senior Bowl - North (16) v (17) South - The South won the Senior Bowl on the game's final play, coming back from a 16-7 deficit in the 4th quarter. The game winning drive started on the South 14 yard line with 2:48 left and ended with WR Andre Cadlwell running in from 2 yards out on a reverse play. Kicker Brandon Couto (Georgia) kicked the game-winning PAT with no time on the clock.
