Florida (85) v (77) Oregon

Regional Final -
UCLA (68) v (55) Kansas
- UCLA upset the top ranked Jayhawks with Aaron Afflalo (24 pts) leading the way. In a wild game that featured 32 steals, it was Afflalo and his 15 points in the 2nd half that won the game. Kansas's Brandon Rush (18 pts) had a good game in defeat (9, 2 Discs, CBS - Enberg/Bilas, PAL)

Regional Final -
Georgetown (96) v (84) North Carolina
- Georgetown rallied from an 11 point deficit in the 2nd half to force overtime on a 3 pointer with 31 secs left then ripped off 14 straight points in overtime to reach the final four. Florida (76) v (66) UCLA
- In a rematch of the previous season's championship game, Florida again came out on top with great shooting and great defense. - The battle of the big men failed to materialise as both Greg Oden and Roy Hibbert got into early foul trouble. Ohio State (75) v (84) Florida
- Florida completed a sensational repeat performance, becoming the 1st team since 1991 to repeat as Champions and the 1st ever to repeat with the same starting 5 players. Kansas State (80) v (67) USC - In a much-anticipated match-up of 2 of the best Freshman in the country, Kansas State's Michael Beasley beat USC's OJ Mayo. Beasley was supported by Bill Walker (22 pts) as the Wildcats out-rebounded the Trojans 44-27 and pulled away late to advance to the 2nd round (10, LIP with 7:37 left, 1 Disc, CBS - Harlan/Bonner, PAL)

1st Round - Davidson Wildcats (82) v (76) Gonzaga Bulldogs - In their opening game of the tournament, the #10 Davidson Wildcats used a big game from Stephen Curry to upset upset #7 Gonzaga. Curry exploded for 40 points including 8 of 10 on 3 pointers, with 20 of those points coming in the 2nd half as Davidson overtuned a 41-36 half-time lead by Gonzaga. Davidson (74) v (70) Georgetown
- #12 seed Davidson secured a huge upset by beating #2 seed and Big East Champion Georgetown. Davidson (73) v (56) Wisconsin
- #12 seed Davidson continued their fairytale season by upsetting #3 seed and Big 10 Champion Wisconsin. Xavier (57) v (76) UCLA

Louisville (73) v (83) North Carolina
- #1 seed North Carolina reached the Final Four with a dominating display from Tyler Hansbrough (28 pts, 13 rebounds). The Tarheels shut-down the free-scoring Cardinals en-route to a 12 point lead at the half. Louisville were led by Jerry Smith (17 pts) (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Enberg/Bilas, PAL)

Regional Final -
Texas (67) v (85) Memphis
- Freshman Derrick Rose (21 pts, 6 rebs, 9 assists) led #1 seed Memphis into the final 4 with a dominating all-around display. - In a very close game, #12 seed Davidson nearly knocked off #1 Kansas but failed on a last play 3 pointer that would have won the game. - Kansas reached their first Final since 1988 after an awesome start that saw them race into a 40-12 lead late in the 1st half. But the Tarheels rallied to within 5 before falling off. Kansas were led by Brandon Rush (25 pts, 7 rebs) and Mario Chalmers (11 pts). Final - Memphis (68) v (75) Kansas - Memphis' dire free-throw shooting finally caught up with them as they missed 4 of 5 in the final minute to allow Kansas' Mario Chalmers to hit a 3 pointer with 2.1 seconds left to force overtime. In OT, the Jayhawks finished the job. The star of the show was Derrick Rose (18 pts), ably supported by Chris Douglas-Roberts (22 points). Kansas were led by Darrell Arthur (20 points). 1st Round -
Tennessee Volunteers (75) v (77) Oklahoma State Cowboys - #8 seed Oklahoma State advanced to the 2nd round with a winning basket with 7 seconds left. Both teams were evenly matched with Tennessee star Tyler Smith (21 points) and OSU star Byron Eaton (20 points) having big games and it was Eaton that scored the winner, driving into the lane an scoring on a layup an getting the extra shot for a foul. Regional Semi-Final -
Villanova Wildcats (77) v (54) Duke Blue Devils
- #3 seed Villanova crushed #2 seed Duke and recorded their first victory over the Blue Devils in 51 years. Duke suffered from a terrible shooting night and was out-rebounded all game, with Villanova's Dante Cunningham (14 points, 11 rebounds) having a big game. The Wildcats Scottie Reynolds top scored with 16 points. It was Duke's worst tournament loss since 1990 and the final game for Senior Greg Paulus (3 points). Regional Semi-Final -
Kansas Jayhawks (62) v (67) Michigan State Spartans
- #2 Michigan State rallied from a 32-19 deficit in the 1st half to beat #3 seed and defending National Champion Kansas and advance to the Elite 8. The Jayhawks started the brighter, led by Sherron Collins (20 points), Cole Aldrich (17 points, 14 rebounds) and Brady Morningstar (6 points). But Michigan State rallied before the half and then went ahead early in the 2nd half, as Goran Suton (20 points, 9 rebounds) and Kalin Lucas (18 points, 7 assists) started to make an impact. Both teams battled for the lead but it was the Spartans who took control inside the final minute, converting their free-throws to win the game (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Johnson/Elmore, PAL)

Regional Final -
Villanova Wildcats (78) v (76) Pittsburgh Panthers
- In the battle of the Big East heavyweights, it was the #3 seed Wildcats that booked their place in the Final Four with a last second winner over #1 seed Pitt. Both teams played physical basketball in the 1st half with Pitt leading 34-32 at the half. Then both teams started making shots and the lead changed hands 15 times before Villanova's Scottie Reynolds (15 points) scored the winning layup with 1 second left. A last play half-court shot from Pitt failed and Villanova had won. The Wildcats were led by Dwayne Anderson (17 points, 6 rebounds) and Dante Cunningham (14 points, 5 rebounds). Michigan State Spartans (64) v (52) Louisville Cardinals
- #2 seed Michigan State upset the high-scoring #1 overall seed Louisville and booked themselves a home court Final Four appearance. The Spartans played great man-to-man defense to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard and had big shooting games from Goran Suton (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Durrell Summers (12 points) to keep the game from being close. Michigan State Spartans (64) v (52) Connecticut Huskies
- #2 seed Michigan State booked their place in the National Championship game with an upset of #1 seed UConn. The Spartans, playing in front of a partisan home crowd at Ford Field, used a fast paced game to wear down the Huskies with Kalin Lucas (21 points, 5 assists) and Raymar Morgan (18 points, 9 rebounds) out-gunning Hasheem Thabeet (17 points, 6 rebounds) and Stanley Robinson (15 points, 13 rebounds) (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Nantz/Kellogg, PAL)

North Carolina Tarheels (83) v (69) Villanova Wildcats
- #1 seed North Carolina were too much for the #3 seed Wildcats and booked their place in the National Championship game with a comfortable win. The stars for the Tarheels were Tywon Lawson (22 points, 8 assists) and Wayne Ellington (20 points, 9 rebounds) with Tyler Hansbrough (18 points, 11 rebounds) chipping in to post a 49-40 lead at the break after leading 40-23 at one point. National Championship -
North Carolina Tarheels (89) v (72) Michigan State Spartans - In a blow-out, the #1 seed Tarheels clinched their 2nd title in 6 years. North Carolina started quickly, opening up a 55-34 lead at the break (a title game record), and didn't let up in the 2nd half. The stars for North Carolina were Ty Lawson (21 points, 8 steals), Wayne Ellington (19 points) and Tyler Hansbrough (18 points, 7 rebounds). 2009/10
1st Round - Wake Forest Demon Deacons (81) v (80) Texas Longhorns - #9 seed Wake Forest advanced to the 2nd round with an overtime win over #8 seed Texas. Wake's Ishmael Smith (19 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists) was the hero, hitting the winning jumper with 1.3 seconds left after Texas blew a chance at the free-throw line to take the win. Texas were led by J'Covan Brown (20 points), Jordan Hamilton (19 points, 6 rebounds) and Damion James (16 points, 6 rebounds). Wake also featured Al-Farouq Aminu (20 points, 15 rebounds). CBS joined the game in-progress at the 15:08 mark in the 1st half (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Enberg/Bilas, PAL)

2nd Round - Northern Iowa Panthers (69) v (67) Kansas Jayhawks - #9 seed NIU registered the upset of the tournament by knocking out #1 overall seed Kansas. NIU built up a 14 point lead in the 2nd half as they kept Kansas's star player Sherron Collins (10 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists) quiet. But the Jayhawks fought back and pulled within 1 point with 44 seconds left before NIU's Ali Farokhmanesh (16 points) drained a break-away 3 pointer to seal the win. NIU also featured Jordan Eglseder (14 points, 5 rebounds), Jake Koch (10 points). Kansas also featured Marcus Morris (16 points) and Cole Aldrich (13 points, 10 rebounds). Regional Semi-Final - Butler Bulldogs (63) v (59) Syracuse Orangemen - #5 seed Butler upset #1 seed Syracuse with a great gameplan and reached their first ever Regional Final. The Bulldogs forced the Orangemen into 18 turnovers and played great defense at the end of the game to close out the win. Butler were led by Gordon Hayward (17 points, 5 rebounds) and Shelvin Mack (14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists). Syracuse featured Wesley Johnson (17 points, 9 rebounds) and Andy Rautins (15 points, 5 rebounds) (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Johnson/Elmore, PAL)

Regional Semi-Final - Xavier Musketeers (96) v (101) Kansas State Wildcats - #2 Kansas State reached their first Regional Final since 1988 but had to battle #6 seed Xavier through 2 overtimes to do so. Xavier forced overtime with 3 free throws with 5 seconds left, then forced a 2nd overtime with a 3 pointer but the Wildcats finished the game off late as the Musketeers ran out of gas. The Wildcats were led by Jacob Pullen (28 points, 4 rebounds), Denis Clemente (25 points) and Curtis Kelly (21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists). Xavier were led by Jordan Crawford (32 points), Terrell Holloway (26 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists) and Jason Love (11 points, 15 rebounds) (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Johnson/Elmore, PAL)

Regional Final - Butler Bulldogs (63) v (56) Kansas State Wildcats - #5 seed Butler advanced to their 1st ever Final Four with a big defensive game against the #2 seed Wildcats, holding them to a season low in points scored. The leader for the Bulldogs was Gordon Hayward (22 points, 9 rebounds) and they also got big games from Shelvin Mack (16 points, 7 rebounds) and Ronald Nored (4 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists). Regional Final - West Virginia Mountaineers (73) v (66) Kentucky Wildcats - Big East Champions West Virginia made their first Final Four in 51 years with a shock win over SEC Champion and #1 seed Kentucky. A bizarre 1st half saw the Mountaineers go in at the break with a 28-26 lead, with all the points coming from 3 pointers. Conversely, all the Kentucky points came from 2 pointers as they missed on all their 3 pointers. In the 2nd half, the Wildcats continued to fail with the 3 pointers and also at the free-throw line and West Virginia took advantage to take the win. The heroes for the Mountaineers were Joe Mazzula (17 points), Da'Sean Butler (18 points, 6 rebounds) and Kevin Jones (13 points, 8 rebounds). The Wildcats All-American squad featured John Wall (19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists), DeMarcus Cousins (15 points, 8 rebounds) and Patrick Patterson (8 points, 13 rebounds). Final Four - Butler Bulldogs (52) v (50) Michigan State Spartans - #5 seed Butler continued their fairy-tale run and, with the defeat of the #5 seed Spartans, reached their 1st ever National Championship game. In a tight game, both teams were tied 28-28 at the half, Butler managed to get a small lead in the 2nd half then played great defense to see off the Spartans. Butler were led by Gordon Hayward (19 points, 9 rebounds), Shelvin Mack (14 points) and Ronald Nored (5 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals). Michigan State featured Durrel Summers (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Draymond Green (12 points, 6 rebounds) (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Nantz/Kellogg, PAL)

Final Four - Duke Blue Devils (78) v (57) West Virginia Mountaineers - Duke finally put together a complete game to dominate West Virginia and advance to their 1st final in 6 years. Jon Scheyer (23 points, 6 assists), Kyle Singler (21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) and Nolan Smith (19 points) led the charge with Brian Zoubek (6 points, 10 rebounds) defending the basket. Duke led 39-31 at the half and were never threatened in the 2nd Half, using great Defense to keep the Moutaineers Joe Mazzula (4 points) and Da'Sean Butler (10 points) from making an impact (10, 1 Disc, CBS - Nantz/Kellogg, PAL)

Final - Duke Blue Devils (61) v (59) Butler Bulldogs - Duke claimed their 4th National Title with a dramatic win over the home-town Butler Bulldogs. Butler used great defense and great rebounding to keep Duke within touching distance in the 1st half and Duke only led 33-32 at the break. In the 2nd half, the tables were turned as Duke managed to keep the Bulldogs from taking over the game and, as the final seconds ticked, down Duke led 60-59. Butler's Gordon Hayward (12 points, 6 rebounds) had 2 shots to win the game, the final shot as the buzzer sounded came from half-court and almost dropped as it hit the backboard and the rim before falling away. Duke featured Kyle Singler (19 points, 8 rebounds), Jon Scheyer (15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) and Brian Zoubek (8 points, 10 rebounds). Butler also featured Shelvin Mack (12 points, 4 rebounds).
